Ahah that's funny how many people hear differently the impact of the AM2 on the Fiio X7 :D I wish I could directly try it in store to see it myself before diving in the blue!

 The Fiio's case is quite pretty, but one thing I really dislike about them is how much bulkier it makes the X7 become. A case that would embrace it more subtly would be better.

Sorry, I mistyped. when i talked about 3 digits, i was talking about that kind of numbering: 001, 002, ... 009, 010, 011, ... 019, 020,  and so on.   the exemple i gave was wrong, sorry about that :(

I noticed something new about the X7: when playing through DLNA, I can't get the album illstrutation, though I have them on my laptop (which makes the DLNA server through Jriver) Am I the only one or should we fix this?

  This happens with all players I've used so far. I would recommend you to change your numbering by a 3 digit numbering. It will give you  01, 02, 03, ... 09, 10, 11, ..., 19, 20, 21, ... and so on.

Thanks Joe for those detailed answers :) I think the thing is to let everyone choose what suit them best, and I agree with you on the need of solving the "CD NUMBER" issue being important! For the Fiio's customer service, I know that Fiio proposed something new by standing by their customers...

Yes I agree, I'd appreciate that Fiio explain us how they'll deal with the current issues, instead of limiting themselves to announce new products...

Not sure whether we want to have that kind of discussion,but it does cover the light. Covering nine tenth of something is covering that thing. It's for sure an aesthetic input, and it's a shame that a case made by Fiio covers this... Now, whether you judge it useful or not is just a personal...

The brown case presented is made of faux-leather. I have one myself, it's pretty convenient, but the only issue is that the case covers the blue light...

 I would say you just have to paste the 1.8 FW zip file in the storage and proceed to the update, the device itself doesnt care about which one is the latest, it's just about installing fw versions i guess :)

  Same goes for my and Music Two & Shure SRH 1840, it really sounds rich and detailed :)   I just noticed an issue on Soundcloud, the streaming doesn't work :( the sound is intermittent...

Hey i just received my X7 :D   So far it sounds fantastic, way better the dx90 to my ears (with same tracks and same headphones, Shure SRH 1840) the AM1 drives my headphones pretty good (65Ohms) so the AM2 should be awesome according to the reviews!   I have one concern, the screen...
