Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I bought Beats Flex for $30 on amazon last week. Noise isolation is excellent, and I can listen at pretty much any volume I wish without bothering my mrs in bed next to me so there's very little leakage. They're not the most refined sound wise, but for $30 (normally $50 iirc) I find them really...

Snapped 2 pin Connector in the shell (Help)

Response from Noble, I hope he is wrong about their pricing! Sorry Pedro. I forwarded your email to Nancy, who handles the RMA requests. Unfortunately, she is traveling at the moment and apparently hasn't seen your email. She will have a better idea as to what it costs to change out the...

Snapped 2 pin Connector in the shell (Help)

I thought of that, sent Noble an email waiting on a response. I bought them from Audio Sanctuary, London. https://www.audiosanctuary.co.uk

Thank you, I don't suppose you have any idea of cost?

Snapped 2 pin Connector in the shell (Help)

I accidentally stood on my Noble Audio Universals resulting in the two pin connector snapping flush inside the shell. The retailer they were purchased from are UK based (I'm in Portugal). Alas, they don't seem bothered about replying to my emails. I'm left wondering what my options are, any...

Best Portables for House Music please

Small world! I was born in Beverley! - Vocals are very good but both Dulce Bass and IE800 demand lossless files, or Spotify with a semi decent DAC in my experience otherwise they expose too much noise you don't want to hear - distortion basically. The Dulce Bass are known for being very good...

Best Portables for House Music please

PS: My only regret is not getting a fully customised version of the Dulce Bass. If you want a custom version (I cannot. stress enough how much fit helps and makes a difference) you need to contact Gisele @ Aid2Hearing based in London. She is a top audiologist, Noble approved. More costly so yet...

Best Portables for House Music please

Hi Nick, I do indeed. I'm based in Manchester, UK. But cannot recommend The Audio Sanctuary enough. They are based in the south. They sell Noble Audio but also Senn IE800. You may be able to negotiate lower price on the IE800 with the 'S' model coming out but this isn't by any means a given. As...

Best Portables for House Music please

My vote would be the Noble Audio 'Dulce Bass' (aka Sweet Bass in Italian). Not cheap @ $700 or so, as such if your budget is lower, maybe look out for forthcoming IE800 on the second hand markets (IE800S model out soon) but be very, very wary of the fakes. Both of these IEMs are fantastic (I...

Schiit Fire and Save Matches! Bifrost Multibit is Here.

This sounds awesome. No idea when these will be available via dealers in the UK but ***** it, i'm in. Wanting to partner it with a Lyr 2 to get more out of my Beyer T5p.    Great news. Well done Mike et al.

iFi iUSB3.0 launch. Names back in the hat and new #2 Winner! (page 24)

An interesting product. I own the Schiit Audio Wyrd which might not be the best on the market but for the money it's a no-brainer. I will wait for reviews to see whether this warrants the outlay. I use a thunderbolt HDD for my music storage so no gains for me with regards to routing my library...

Apogee Groove Dac / Headphone Amp

Is this Groove considered on the bright side? I'm looking at alternatives from the meridian explorer2, it seems well documented the groove is better than the explorer dac/hpa. I use Beyer T5p and my concern would be the sabre 9018 sounding too bright, or does the amp tame things down?    Any...

    Upgrading from Beyer Dynamics T51P

T70p, not quite as portable but they are in respect of impedance. a superb headphone.    If you want to spend more there's the T5p. Having upgraded from the T70p to the T5p recently, whilst the latter is slightly better, there isn't much in it beyond better build and a more solid sounding...

Reply to review by 'pedro83' on item 'Meridian Explorer 2'

Good review , I agree although feel the DAC is stronger than the HPA. Add a Schiit Audio Wyrd and the DAC takes another leap forward, all the for the better. I must have, especially for the money, IMO.

beyerdynamic T5p: Photos and first impressions.

I will do Arttt. Initial impressions are very very good. I am noticing the sound is getting better every two days, it tends to take a leap forward for the better. I am really becoming a fan of this headphone. I have owned lots of HiFi equipment since the age of 16 and if I have learnt anything...

I could not agree more. I have had my 5Tp for a week now, whilst they have loosened up a bit, not in any way has the sonic signature changed. They certainly have more body than the T70p, this is at the expense of what seems a more spacious sound. I have decided to keep them and play with a...

I followed your posts with great interest.   May I ask how much better you rate the 5Tp over the T70p now after you've spent more time with the former?    I left the 5Tp playing through the night, and will do so for the coming weeks. Again, the difference between them and the T70p...

The 5Tp are not as portable in respect of sensitivity like the T70p, given they're both specced @ 32ohm. The difference is too big, to achieve the same volume the 5Tp require much more juice compared with the T70p. The difference is significant.

My 5Tp arrived today, all I can say at this stage is I very much look forward to them breaking in. side by side to the T70p which have several hundred hours on them and i'm not sure beyond a little detail what the 5Tp do better. They clearly need breaking in. Anyway, a journey is ahead and one I...

Thanks for your reply. I'm going to let them break in and see how I get on. I've had a lot of headphones, DACs and headphones amps over the years so thankfully know what sound I like. Funnily enough I have an unopened iPad Air 2, which is for sale, as an iPhone / mac user i couldn't see a...

I appreciate this, but on the link (here) http://www.amazon.co.uk/beyerdynamic-Portable-Stereo-Headphones-Connection-multicoloured/dp/B0071BITYU/ref=pd_cp_23_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1KKVDW86VHJ8JRXRWZ31   It states there are newer ones. I bought the ones in the link above so I remain somewhat hopeful...

Can anyone tell me if or when Beyer stopped providing the more solid, contoured travel felt looking cases with the T5p. Now they come with a draw-string bad for travel. I'd prefer the former given I intend to use them for travel.
