Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 Discussion Thread
These are just so underrated! They're stylish af, light, great sound for the price and closed back. The fact they're out of production is a travesty! Damn your progressive approach b&o! We need to start a petition, better yet we need to write local politicias the world over! Make America H6...- Dickies

I've not heard any of the first grou I've not heard the first group of you mentioned, I've heard all of the second group (assuming you're talking about wired momentums) and I prefer the h6 gen1 and gen2 to all of the second group you mention.- Dickies

Audio-GD NFB 27.38 Impression Thread
I'm very interested to hear some impressions on the .38 I've been loving my nfb 27h for the last year ish and if impressions are positive I think I'll have to email Kingwa and ask him nicely if he'll upgrade my dac section- Dickies

as a pure monitoring can to listen as you track they'd be fine imo but pretty much anything closed will also do if they're the only thing you'd be listening to your mixes with then I wouldn't recommend it, yes they have a boosted bass but thats not really the reason I wouldn't recommend it...- Dickies

I personally didn't like the deckard I bought an oppo ha1 instead of it. As an audio-gd nfb-27h owner who has never heard his h6's sound better that from that unit it pretty easy for me to say buy the master 9! BUT if you're only going to be using with h6's it's WAY overkill, the h6's at a loud...- Dickies

I found the xc's comfortable, I had the vegan pads that reduced the sweatyness a bit but the weight, oh that weight was a killer. The ether c solved that issue for me I can literally wear them all day, the ether headband setup is best on the market imo. I would say the c flows stereo...- Dickies

the 27h is just so damn over powered for them I don't hear the hum when music is playing, I don't hear it with my ether c flows nor did I with ether c before that, based on the fact the ether's are 22 ohm I'd say it's got to do with sensitivity, or maybe the microphone in the stock cable...- Dickies

I agree the h6 do scale, I'm pretty confident in blind testing with the h6's I could differentiate my phone, X5ii and NFB-27h. the hum in left channel I hear when pairing with the latter would be giveaway no1 but what do you expect when you plug a portable can into a audio-gd beast. Worse...- Dickies

I had the xc's and used to think of my h6 as poorer mans xc's, but found myself not being able to take the xc's weight. And frankly the ether c and now ether c flow for me and many solved the xc's issues, it's a shame audeze's single sided magnet cans haven't quite hit the mark. I also didn't...- Dickies

Oppo HA-1 Impressions Thread
My experience with the 800's is minimal but prior to me purchasing with ha-1 I tried the deckard with lcd-xc and senn hd700's and liked the ha-1 more. Also quite few people have stated in this thread previously in their opinion the 800's go well with the ha-1, so by all means read back in this...- Dickies

Has anyone spoken to Kingwa regarding swapping in the ess es9028pro dac in for the 9018, I've read they're easily interchangeable at least in the physically sense but unsure if it will work?- Dickies

I have it, the strain relief on the plug is too huge, rigid, straight & thick for my liking I posted a photo of it earlier in the thread. If you're thinking about using it with a player in your pocket while doing anything other than standing upright and still I'd advise against it as the strain...- Dickies

I had a similar experience with my old h6v1s when I plugged them into my old ifi idsd micro, that unit had a knack for making headphones that could do low end not do low end. it really struggled with cymbal sounds and was unlistenable on far too many tracks on some headphones the h6v1's...- Dickies

I've owned both, not at the same time however. I've not measured anything so keep in mind this is based off feel and the naked eye. I haven't noticed a difference in size and or density, I've got pretty big ears so the snug fit feels just as snug, then only difference I've noticed was the v1...- Dickies
