Thanks for the reply. Do you think the the etys would be any good for edm at all? I have felt like the shures have a bit too much bass at times so maybe the etys would be better. 

I've been using the shure se215 for the past few years and I've loved them but they broke recently and in my research I've come accross the Etymotic hf5's a few times. Does anyone have any recommendations about which is better? What kind of music is are the etymotics good for vs the shures? Or...
