So the 300b amp I know we've heard it will need to be used with the transformer interface, but is the VM1a replacement a direct drive amp similar to the VM1a? It appears to have a female XLR plugged into it, so that makes me think it is, but also has a 1/4" output, so maybe it can do both? Does...

Very happy with the Supratek DHT running the 300b's thus far but I've only had a couple days with it. It came with a pair of Audio Note "Carbonized 300b" (not the good 4300e's) so I'm assuming they are a cheap low end chinese rebrand, but even with these there seems to be great promise...

Supratek DHT Preamp arrived today to try out. Will be interesting, especially once I get some decent 300b's in it. Going to try it into my Boulder amp and also the KGGG for E-stat duties for tasteful colouration (I hope.)

Well, curiosity got the better of me. Got a Supratek DHT Pre coming (sadly doesn't have the heater switch, so only 300b capable, not 45/2a3) to give a try with my Boulder 1161. Should be interesting at the very least. Not sure if I'll stick with it over plain old solid state, will report back!

Do you perhaps mean they have sold Immanis, not Magna? The Immanis is the more expensive, larger sized model of the two.
