Any art made sincerely has merit. The beauty and or value lies with the observer. Bad art if it exists is able to show the lack of care and honesty in its making. I believe ai art shows this. As this is a philosophical meditation my words are just one mans opinion.- barrycro

For me the best value in head Fi with the new enthusiast in mind is the grado sr60. I remember getting mine many years ago for $50 . That is the headphone that opened the door to my ever increasing interest in hi fidelity personal audio. It still sounds good to me when i revisit it from time to...- barrycro

I agree with original poster as far as not liking a dongle attached to my phone for portable use. Of course you are right that it is what they are intended for. I will take a blue tooth option for convenience.- barrycro

I think cables should come from the manufacturer with full specs disclosed including measured resistance. this would give a solid metric to compare one cable to another. I don’t care what people spend their money on and I choose to replace stock cables with a $20 aftermarket option due to better...- barrycro

If you can take a drive up 95 to NYC for can jam in a couple weeks you can preview any number of contenders before committing. I can’t recommend this enough.- barrycro

I use FIIO bt adapters with Audiosense T800 at the gym. Works great for me. I am not listening critically at the gym so this level of sound is fine and the ergonomics are fantastic.- barrycro

The three iems I have that I would consider bass head are the CFA Atlas, UM Mext and EE Bravado MK2. They all use different drivers to get there but each hit hard. I don’t think the Atlas would be a buy for you as it is another single dd from CFA and you have the cascade. The Mext is a tribrid...- barrycro
