I remember the E50 has a darker and more recessed mid range, bass is tighter at the LS200 iirc.

They should be closest to the Ety in terms of sound signature.

I do not understand why you would "intentionly" set the IDSD at normal gain to burn in but given your comment that the volume was minimum at normal gain, there is a possibility of channel imbalance. You could have just set eco and burn in at moderate volume.....   There are quite a few great...

The normal setting is way too high for the LS400, what is your normal knob at? 9oclock?

By the way I tested it with the IFI IDSD BL with files ranging from WAV to FLAC.

Just pop by our local store to try the new LS400, OMG.... this has to be the worst flagship I've ever heard. The treble was roll off, mids were recessed and muffled and bass was loose and uncontrolled. It was so bad I had to ask the store manager if this was a faulty unit. Guess what? Apparently...

Actually the vmoda ZN is not bad too, very well build and I like the cable material better. Unfortunately the cable isn't detachable.

Maybe a heatshrink on different segment of the wire will hold wire.

I only owned the Moshi Vortex pro.   The Moshi Vortex pro is bass heavy and muffled in comparison, soundstage is narrower with a much warmer sound. Built wise both are just as good except I prefer the detachable option and cable material from P1.

I know, I went Stereo Vivocity to audition and just thinking which way is faster and cheaper. I guess getting from Stereo is around the same vs getting direct. Plus getting local means they will handle repairs etc.

Yes I do think the mid range is a tad more recessed than what I usually like but other than that, its quite impressive for the price.
