    Most neutral sounding closed headphones.

Well, then the DT880s are probably not for you. The DT880s definitely leak and as to how much, I suppose it's a matter of perspective, but for me, I wouldn't use them if my g/f was trying to go to sleep in the same room. They don't leak as much as my HD580s but I don't think it's far from it. My...

    where to buy beyerdynamic DT-880???

I'd agree. I almost bought a pair of 880s from Jan, but instead got it from a member here who decided they weren't for him. Jan was even nice enough to send me a new receipt for warranty purposes since the guy had originally bought them from him in the first place. I have not purchased from Jan...

Yes, it's her throughout the album. I really like 12 Stones too, so I knew the guy's voice already. I can see how some don't like it. I didn't know they from New Orleans though. Cool. I used to live down there years ago.

    For you MiniDisc-heads out there...

Damn, I'm sick and tired of record companies just assuming that everyone in the world is a pirate. Am I the only one that buys stuff and rips to MP3 for convienence and portable use? What happened to fair use? Yes, I know it's all been said before, but I really HATE being treated like a criminal...

I just had to vote for Them Bones. I love playing the guitar on that song. That 12/8 groove just rocks.

    BASS

Maybe not the most important for you, but for others you can't say. Although I agree it's not the most important thing, good bass is an important criteria for my cans. I'm not ashamed to admit that I like good bass. I also like a great soundstage, lots of detail and good highs too. Head Fi is a...

    Evanescence

It's just you I think. I picked up their CD this weekend, and it sounds ok to me. There are some keyboard rumblings of "Bring Me To Life"(the song from Daredevil) that could distort, but overall it sounds pretty decent. It's a pretty good CD too. The singer has a great voice.

Please make sure you include some good comparisons to the PX200s. I just ordered them and I'm quite curious how they compare to the Eggos since everyone's been raving about them.

    I want bass.

I have both. DT770 is the bass master. DT880 has good bass, but doesn't quite satisfy my need like the DT770. On the other hand, the DT880 has a better soundstage, and overall better tonal balance. If your requirement is bass though go with the DT770. You will not be disappointed.

Any DT770pro Users Or Previous Users

I have a JMT built META42 with the AD843 opamp. The DT770s sound pretty sweet. I've had several of my coworkers here listen to these cans through the amp. They are quite intrigued with my headphone hobby. No one has complained about them being too bright and everyone really liked their sound. I...

Rick, I don't think the burn in makes much difference here at least that I've seen. The cable definitely makes a difference. I tested using by JMT built Silver Lace mini-to-mini interconnect and it definitely improved the sound. I really have no idea on the power supply. Sadly, this is a...

how do you compare Indigo with a portable CDP?

I have the Indigo, but I wasn't sure exactly how to respond without first listening to my PCDP which was at work for comparison. I have an old Sony D121 PCDP. It's decent for listening, but skips if you look at it wrong. The Indigo was a great buy for me. Unamped, the Indigo beats my Sony's...

I use it here in my apartment. The antenna provided with the home kit is great. My apartment doesn't even face south, nor does my antenna sit near a window and I can still pick up both of the satellites. There's also a terrerstial repeater and because of where my antenna sits currently(in a...
