After 4 months of P7 and about 3 weeks of X2, I took my Bose QC15 to work since it's been a very long time. Man, I could now really appreciate how great X2 (and also P7) is... QC15 absolutely don't have any bass, has rolled off treble and it is missing all the details and airiness the above cans...

Really? I find X2s ear pads very comfortable. The clamp pressure is also very light. To put comfort into perspective, it feels very similar to Bose QC15 in terms of ear pad comfort, if anyone used QC15.   May be too much clamp pressure on yours? Try breaking in for a few days and see how it feels

  Yeah, you get that recessed feeling when you come Senn family or M50 where the mids are forward. However, mids are not recessed in X2 and it is there where it need to be. Once you get adjusted to the sound signature it'll make a big difference. Please do post your observations in few days time.
