Thanks for that acain, I have been considering the MH40. They seem to be great sounding headphones that are also great looking and sturdy which is what I am looking for in a pair of headphones right now.- Hunter220

Fulla (by) Schiit - News, photos, thoughts, impressions, etc.
I have used the HD 650s with the Fulla and it works well, I have noticed some of the same problems you mentioned but it seems to do a good job powering it when I have been traveling. I used to own the Audioengine D1 which admittedly worked better but there is a price differential there to think...- Hunter220

Audeze EL-8: The EL-8 is a must-hear at CES 2015
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what exactly would balanced cables do to help the EL-8? I am not trying to start a cable argument but wondering what they would do to help this particular headphone.- Hunter220

Audeze EL-8: The EL-8 is a must-hear at CES 2015
Did you order the closed back EL-8s? If so will be interested to hear your thoughts on the two since I currently am auditioning the PM-3s and thinking of testing them against the EL-8s but would be interested to hear some other thoughts first on the two.- Hunter220

Yeah I was looking through their site and they have some really nice builds. Can't decide if I like the cnc or acrylic, since it would be kind of cool to see the innards if I ever bought an amp from there.- Hunter220

Audeze EL-8: The EL-8 is a must-hear at CES 2015
Glad people are liking the sound signature, will be interested to hear what people think about the closed back since I still would like to compare them to the Oppo PM-3's since I need at least one closed back pair for late at night or when the girlfriend is around.- Hunter220

I guess upgraditis or new gearitis strikes again, I keep hearing how good the Crack sounds but I cannot decide if I want to try building one now or wait till summer when I have some more time. For any of the DIY'ers how hard is it to assemble versus other DIY kits like Project Ember, etc.- Hunter220

Wow a 20 foot cable? That is crazy long, do you just have your setup further away or like the ability to move without disconnecting?- Hunter220

Can't wait to hear people's impressions of the closed back headphones. Got the Oppo PM-3's to try in the interim and so far they are pretty great sounding plus the fact that they are lighter is nice in case I plan to travel with them and the Schiit Fulla.- Hunter220
