You are not probably going to like this, but I had the exact same experience. My preF LCD2s we're just blah sounding. No definition flappy base like there was a cover over the headphones. I directly compared them to a new set of fazor LCD2s and personally I saw a huge improvement. More 3-D...

Well, I agree with you. My LCD2 non-fazors were too confined but the LCD2s with fazors really opened up the sound stage and seemed to add a more 3D quality.
