Where were you able to find hd660/330 so cheap? The cheapest I've found is about $40.- DoppenShloppen

For me, angled hm5 pads are the answer. When I eventually replace them, I'm gonna try some of the pads from ZMF.- DoppenShloppen

Mad Lust Envy's Headphone Gaming Guide: (8/18/2022: iFi GO Blu Review Added)
I just got my dx clip on mic today in the mail so that i would no longer have to wear my old headset around my neck as a mic while wearing my X2s. Sadly, the cable microphonics are so bad that it creates super loud static sounds constantly that can be heard over chat, making it essentially...- DoppenShloppen

Philips Fidelio X2?!
Thanks a lot for the help! Sadly for some reason Equalizer APO decided to stop working on my computer (windows 10) and is no longer changing the sound output at all. This seems to be a common issue for Win10, with no fix available.- DoppenShloppen

Philips Fidelio X2?!
I recently picked up a pair of pre-fiasco X2's. I've been enjoying them immensely but wish to push the upper mids up a tad with APO Equalizer. The problem is I'm not the best at reading the specifics on Freq. response graphs. I assume the region I'm trying to boost is the part I circled in this...- DoppenShloppen

Nice review, but sadly the left ear just went out on mine(they came in the new packaging, bought last year) so I'm looking for a replacement that has removable cables. I tried my friends meelectronics m6 pros but the mids were just too weird and recessed compared to the b3 pro 1s.- DoppenShloppen

Philips Fidelio X2?!
So I've been considering getting a pair of x2's but I have a few concerns. First, I've about fit issues. I currently use my soundmagic hp 150's (basically the same shell as the hp 200 and 100) at the 4th extension. Does anyone with experience with both sets know if these should fit me right...- DoppenShloppen

No prob, also I made a quick backup cable out of one of those cheap 3.5mm cables with the green jacks (the ones that come with cheap speakers usually) by carefully grinding the jack casing down.- DoppenShloppen

true, but looking at the prices, it looks like getting them from beyer would cost a lot more. Plus its fun to have drivers around to mess with, transplanting and whatnot.- DoppenShloppen

Yeah, I've been working on stretching the headband by putting a book between the extenders(so the pads don't get squished). But as is they're fine for an hour 1/2~ before its annoying. Take a little break and they're fine again.- DoppenShloppen

I'm using the angled hm5 pads also. My ears don't touch most of the time but sometimes the top tip of my right ear touches due to how the the 150's clamp more towards the top of the pad. I believe this weird clamp is due to how the cups can't pass through the forks like, say a dt 880. I...- DoppenShloppen

hmm, not bad. Have you messed around with damping and the like? I bet a bunch of the things people do to the fostex t50rp enclosure could possibly make em even better. Oh, and I also put a set of angled hm5 pleathers on my set now. sooooooo much better than stock.- DoppenShloppen

Well the reason I would use the superlux is that as far as I remember the 150's, beyers, and superluxes, all have the same size cups so I would be able to put the 150's cups directly in the hd660 headband assembly with a little modification.- DoppenShloppen

That's pretty sweet. If mine ever break I'm thinking I'll buy a pair of superlux hd660 or 330 and put the sound magic cups in its headband. The superlux is basically a beyer clone(The shape at least)- DoppenShloppen
