Montblanc MB-01 Smart headphones
Just tried it and no, it didn't seem to work. It just charges the headphones, no sound transfer.- hay2014

True..it's not known for audio, but they got Alex Rosson in for that side of things and they sound good to my ears..warm and enveloping. They are a quality product in the materials, so worth it. Think you will like the contrast to the MW65..a different sound altogether...- hay2014

You will not be disappointed with either bass or comfort I think.. I really am fond of them. I am surprised they don't get a bit more kudos....maybe cause the cost is generally prohibitive if not on discount..- hay2014

Montblanc MB-01 Smart headphones
There a few reviews out there if you look... Most have them at about 4 stars out of five. If you like bass you will love these, as they do emphasize the bottom end, but not so that it bleeds into the mids. Treble is good too. Soundstage is nice and wide with good instrument separation. The...- hay2014

The MB01s are a very different beast to the MW65, I have both. The MB01s are warm and lush. The MW65 are cool and clinical and as you say a bit bright. The MBO1s pack weight on the bottom end. The MW65s are a bit bass shy. They are two different headphones. if you get the MBs you won't...- hay2014

Yes, agree about the app. They sound good wired, and if you use the eq on your dap...they can sound quite amazing. I lower the bass or up the mids. They have the capacity to sound truly great that way... Though understand some want the BT aspect....- hay2014

Montblanc MB-01 Smart headphones
Just got these headphones and am pretty impressed by them. Very comfortable. Warm sounding and full with a nice wide soundstage. punchy but smooth at the same time. Nice and balanced. I have the px7 and Sony 1000xm4 and momentum 3. The noise cancelling is much better than the momentum 3s...- hay2014

NEW Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 ANC Headphones - Reviews & Impressions
Definitely agree. The H95 is definitely in that list. I have the momentum 3 and mw65 and the h95s are in their company for sound...in some cases, even better. The mids are better in the H95 than the momentum 3.. IMHO....- hay2014

NEW Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 ANC Headphones - Reviews & Impressions
Hi all, Just got these headphones and am really loving them. They have a great balanced sound with a nice wide soundstage. The noise cancelling function works very well, perhaps a step behind my 1000xm4s but really not too far behind. The sound is on another level to the Sony's that sound...- hay2014

Sony NW-ZX300
Hello all, I've recently got my hands on the ZX300, and am coming from the Sony Zx100, so thought I would do a quick comparison for those who have the Zx100 and are thinking about getting the ZX300. Please bear in mind I'm talking SE output between the two as ZX100 has no balanced out. First...- hay2014

Having hard time choosing Sony A35, A25 or ZX2
Hopefully I can give you some help here. I own the Sony A35s, the Sony ZX1, the Sony A15 and the Sony Zx100. The sound of the ZX2 (and the ZX100) are better than the sound of the A35, there is no doubt about it. Whilst the A35 is no slouch in the sound department it falls short...- hay2014

SONY NW-A30 SERIES
No doubt there are some teething issues - but I think the biggest plus for this little player is that it has really great sound - better than previous models, and not too far off some of Sony's higher end models like the ZX100 and the ZX1 (I have both) In fact, I would say that this is quite...- hay2014

SONY NW-A30 SERIES
I have both. The fiio X3ii I would say is generally warmer sounding and really smooth. The Sony A35, to my ears, sounds much cleaner and more punchy, with a hint of warmth, but nowhere near as warm as the Fiio. The Sony also has really great mids. The X3 perhaps has the slightly better...- hay2014

SONY NW-A30 SERIES
I have both, and can honestly tell you hands down that the Zx100 sounds better than the A35. There is an earlier post where I go into sound differences, but just quickly the Zx100 has better bass, a deeper surround sound and a weight to the sound of the instruments. There is a noticeable...- hay2014

I don't have the X5ii but I have the old X5 and also the X3ii - so I can't comment on the X%ii, maybe someone else can chime here. If it helps, I think the A35 definitely goes well up against the old X5, being clearer and nicely detailed - though I wouldn't say the soundstage is as wide or...- hay2014

I'm sorry to hear that you get stung with the exchange rate and duty etc and taxes. hopefully a good sony deal will come up for you in Canada where you can get the a35 with the extended warranty. You mentioned Fiio coming out with new products this year. i too will be happy to look into...- hay2014

Is there anyway that you can hold onto your Q1 and also get the A35 cause I think you would enjoy that combination too. It's a good one. :)- hay2014

Another winning amp combination with the A35 is the PA2V2 amp. Really opens up the sound stage, provides nice depth and warmth and gets the old toes a tapping.- hay2014

SONY NW-A30 SERIES
The power on the A35 is a couple of notches above the A17 but not by a great deal. if you have high demading headphones you may need an amp to get the volume you need, but most lower ohm headphones should be fine. My highest demanding headphones are the sennheiser PXC 450 and the A35...- hay2014

Ah yes - the Q1 - I have it and I like it a lot - like you say better battery life and nice build. It has the warmth of the E11, but perhaps not quite as warm and so better clarity. Gave the Q1 a run with the a35 and indeed liked it very much. Love the E11 too for that warm bath of sound...- hay2014

SONY NW-A30 SERIES
With the highest of respect - I own the Fiio cables and a few more expensive audioMinor ones and I think that I can definitely hear a difference with the more expensive ones - with them leading to a more expansive soundstage and the silver ones definitely adding more to the top end. Having...- hay2014
