Source for Sennheiser HD650
I plan on buying the HD650 soon, and have decided on Schiit Magni as the amp. Since i already have a Fiio Q1 driving the MSR7, figured why not use that as the DAC source for the Magni ? 3.5 mm to RCA converter from the back of the Q1 to the Schiit. Reason being that id hate the already lying Q1...- maestrochin29

Fiio A3 or Q1 for purely amping purpose
Comparing the Q1 here as i plan to build a desktop soon, so the DAC might help later. Right now using a monitor laptop setup, the Dell S2415H has a cool feature that's a headphone out, and the sound output is decent but not loud enough, and anyway once connected to laptop via HDMI the...- maestrochin29

Soundmagic E30 vs Grado Sr80i/80e
If rock music were the sole intent of listening , how would the two headphones compare , ignoring the price difference. I know that they are different types of headphones , one is iem and the other is on the ear , but just think the level of satisfaction and impact one would feel when listening...- maestrochin29

Grado SR80e vs Beyerdynamic dt880
I would get them actually , since I have read that they are the Grado sweet spot , but reading your initial experience on the comfort gave me doubt's about it at first . So are you able to wear them on for long hours without the scratchy sensation- maestrochin29

Grado SR80e vs Beyerdynamic dt880
So do you feel that the SR80 is better in terms of comfort than the 225 ? You could sell them to me however , if it comes in my budget :)- maestrochin29

Grado SR80e vs Beyerdynamic dt880
Hi , then that's great actually. Since im looking for a more forward and effective sound at the mid-range , and i already have a the UE6k that gives me the v sounding signature that don't do awesome with heavy metal. There was another doubt that puzzles me , about the sr225e. It has a thick...- maestrochin29

Grado SR80e vs Beyerdynamic dt880
@Sunshinereggae , thanks for drawing out a detail of the 880's . So do you feel that cleaner sound signature does better as in has a more lively effect for heavy metal , when compared to forward sounding Grado' s ?- maestrochin29

Grado SR80e vs Beyerdynamic dt880
Thanks . So what do you feel about the newer sr80e version , since they "mellowed" the sound a bit , maybe cutting the harshness. I heard they added more bass and smoothened the nids , while maintaining the same sparkly highs.- maestrochin29

Grado SR80e vs Beyerdynamic dt880
I actually asked from a more general perspective , but speaking more specifically , which I appreciate you asking for , I am referring to the 250 ohm version. Unamped since I'm more or less certain that if powered well they may well trounce the sr80e's , and at present I don't want to spend...- maestrochin29

Grado SR80e vs Beyerdynamic dt880
Any opinions or conclusions on whether the Dt880 unamped still does better than the new sr80e , or are they at par ? Price considerations aside , which set of cans are more suited for rock and heavy metal songs ?- maestrochin29

Grado SR80E compared to the Ultimate Ears 6000
I recently purchased the UE6K and they are great for all genres , but i doubt they lac the speed when it comes to fast paced heavy metal. How do you feel the Grado e series perform , especially when ive read that the mids there too are a bit relaxed and the bass has been cranked up a notch. I...- maestrochin29

Grado e Series
Any has any idea about how the Grado sr80e compares to the Logitech UE6000 in terms of rock music purely ? I read that the sound of the e series is more relaxed and laid back for the mids , so does it reduce the effect heavy metal rock music might have ?- maestrochin29

Review by 'maestrochin29' on item 'Logitech UE 6000'
When listening to music , i used to plug in my razer electra's , not that its gone in the dumpster but it did give a solid sound. Now when i started to use my UE6000 the sound felt so different that it took me to a new level of listening. Like i stated in the pro whatever genre of music plays...- maestrochin29
