Woo Audio Amp Owner Unite
I just bought a pair of Audeze LCD-2 rev.2 headphones for use with my Woo WA6. I am wanting to hear more low end/bass and overall richness from this setup. I had always heard the Audeze cans were great in the bass dept. So maybe I need to change my tube choice?? I currently have these tubes...- dsd-7

Love it! Beautiful setup. Here's mine next to my Cary preamplifier. My Philips 5R4GYS rectifier is freshly opened and installed this morning from Upscale Audio. Let the tube rolling begin!- dsd-7

Yea, the thought of selling my WA6 crossed my mind. However I have yet to tube roll with it. I am really happy so far with the stock tubes. I want to listen to it and tube roll for a while before deciding to move to the SE version. I read some reviews saying the improvements are subtle, while...- dsd-7

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2
Yea I have heard the LCD-2's sound signature is somewhat rolled off in the treble. I figure rolling some tubes with the WA6 could be interesting. Maybe tubes with a clear, detailed sound characteristic? I'm going off on a tangent here, but tube rolling can be fun. I wouldn't try overly warm...- dsd-7

How long do good amps last?
Yea they can last for years and years. Just take care of the amps and they will take care of you. Just have a look at the vintage tube amps still going strong from the 60's. With a little maintenance here and there, a good quality amp could last a lifetime I would think.- dsd-7

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2
I have heard the LCD-2's and Woo Audio amps go well together. I am thinking of pairing LCD-2's with a Woo Audio WA6.- dsd-7

Yea I don't blame you there. I know it may be a bit over-obsessive, but I like my tubes to look matched as well.- dsd-7

Aww man, I just bought my first Woo Audio product (WA6). I am really enjoying it, but would have probably been interested in this SE version if I would have seen this first. GLWS :-)- dsd-7

Grado SR225 Thread
These have got to be one of the best bang for the buck headphones out there. I ultimately ended up trading mine in for a Stax rig. 20% better sound quality, but a LOT more money. Can't go wrong with Grado if you want some nice detailed cans.- dsd-7

Your Favorite Band of All Time
Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers I love Mike Campbell's guitar playing and Tom's songwriting is something special. He's one of the greats in my book. I also enjoyed Stan Lynch's drumming quite a bit. I prefer him to Steve Ferrone. -
Best recorded albums of all time?
These are by no means the best, but sound really great and receive a lot of play on my rig... Steely Dan "Aja" Neil Young "Harvest" Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers "Damn the Torpedos" Ray Lamontagne "Till The Sun Turns Black" -
Your Album of the Month
Jason Isbell "Southeastern" Some of the best song writing I have heard in years. If you like Americana, Country, Folk, etc....you should definitely check it out. -
What Are You Listening To Right Now?
Bob Dylan "Blood On The Tracks" album. Great record and highly recommended :-) So detailed through my Stax Lambada Pro's.
