I'm not surprised. I own the sonica. From what I heard the SQ was better then the sonica grand! Next month we will be visiting Oppo & getting another Sonica for stereo pair. My opinion the best value for the Sonica. SQ is amazing!

Update: I was told from Oppo that the true high res music for the Sonica is the USB stick so that I went with much much better. I also ask for a firmware update to show the bit rate on the Sonica APP for each song and they said they will soon.

I get what you are saying, My Opinion there is no competition when it comes to Oppo Sonica vs Sonos! Oppo wins hands down for many of things such as great price & superb quality, SQ and best customer service! Just my Opinion. Sincerely Mike

I also like the sound of that feature as well. Plus when I was on firmware 1.23 the PRO EQ worked.The 1.40 it Dosent change any SQ on PRO EQ. The 1.23 firmware had more punch in bass and a wider soundstage that is for me others may not notice or may notice. Maybe for a Christmas gift we can get...

I'm glad this thread is back alive! I love my PM-1 from the very 1st day I bought them.I also use the original pads that came with the PM-1. They sound amazing with my Astell & Kern AK380 + AK380 AMP & Silver Dragon V3 Cable from Moon-Audio. Can't get enough of the SQ from my combo set! Mike
