At first I liked the m50and then when I heard open back phones for over a month they sounded like two sub woofers planted in your brain. There is like zero soundstage..... The apple earbuds that came with the iPhone 4s has a better soundstage (This is sad).   I'm sure you can find better...

Grado sr 325 sounds very thin on MacBook pro and iPhone but sounds beautiful (full bodied) on an acer computer (Realtek sound card) and a Phillips tv.. What is going on?

I agree,   And make sure you listen to HIGH QUALITY flac files at least . Increases the soundstage allot.    I'm not sure about the 225s, I have the 325s,    In the regard to low-quality recordings my HD 600s are allot more FORGIVING than the 325.    And, also before you make a review...

Nevermind, all the distortion and thin-ness is now gone.       I was just used to the m50 sound signature wich sounds like complete crap to me now lol     It's really incredible how the human ears get used to a sound 

dear god, i replied too late.  So you got the 225

225 grado     The 325 is 300 bucks but it may be too bright. People say grados are good for metal, but when i first got my GRADO sr 325is everytime I listened to rock music it actually HURT. That's how bright it is lmao.   But it's dynamics and details are unmatched.   I recommend the 225...

And also,    I see why someone would relate the m50s sound to the GRADOs... But no...     The m50s have that aggressive, punchy sound that grados have. But they lack the open -ness and soundstage. The GRADOs arn't the biggest in soundstage but the m50s have absolutely no soundstage at...

I have the m50s     I switched to open ear headphones because it's just overall better SQ.    Bought GRADO sr325is and I have to say, I'm hearing much more fidelity directly plugged in to a macbook pro than the m50s ever gave me.   But then again, they do cost 2x more than an m50s.....  ...

Yes sir     They are among the most cheerfull-sounding headphone in my inventory.      They just sound happy and balanced. This is coming from someone with an ATH-m50, GRADO sr 325is, and now a SENN HD 600
