Find a local NAD dealer online. Even if they are far away, give them a call and tell them your situation. I'm sure they give you the firmwares if they can. NAD takes care of their own IME.

Just spent some time with the triple and quad... Same impressions. That thick bass on the quad ruins it. It could of had a warmer and potentially more natural sound, but the triple is where it is at. Neither could compete on my desktop setup, but the triple and my phone love each other...

Same here. Two weeks in I'm having fun with headphones... At home I'm a speakers guy, with a decent setup in every room. The only time I generally listen to headphones is at work, so now that I'm working from home I found myself missing my desktop setup at work. Currently an NAD 1050 and FLC...

Curious if anyone else that loves their 1050 upgraded? I've always found the bottom end a little muddy and have the upgrade bug.

What did you settle on? I'm currently using a NAD 1050 but considering trying the JDS Element.

  Where did you end up going with after the DN1000?  Do you like them better?

I've been using an Aune T1 with an Aperex 7308 orange gold pin for over two years, primarily with Dunu DN-1000 earphones hooked up to the Windows computer in my office.  Because I'm at work, the Aune is powered on for countless hours... pretty much 9 hours per day.  This was never an ideal...

After a few weeks of listening, the DN-1000 have won me over as my new favorite, with only a couple reservations.    Treble - Very smooth and natural in most circumstances, but sometimes it gets a little hot IMO.  The Fiio E17 seems to tame it a little better than the Aune T1 (7308).  Though...

I would like to know about it's headphone output quality as well, or at least how it sounds compared to the G2.   My G2 is the only phone I've owned that I thought sounded good with IEMs.  Even when compared to the Fiio E17 it sounds great for a phone.
