Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion
Oh, and Juist for info. The PX8 does not work with a Lightning cable connected to an iPhone, just USB-C with an iPad. When I connect a UBC Cable in the Lightnight to USB adapter it works but the message is „the device requires to much Power“ (iPhone 13 Pro) B- Borbarad

Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion
Well well, finally got my PX8 (black). And after the short listening so far the answer is very much a no-brainer: Bloody hell. B&W is finally back. All those years since the brilliant P7 (and P9 to a degree) we finally have a true B&W again. Listen to few a songs from Zaz, then Wolfalice...- Borbarad

Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion
Yep, that’s somewhat very irritating with the PX8. The P7 was amazing, esp. from a value for money point. It punched well above its 399,- Price Tag… more like 699-799,-. And that was also the issue for the P9 then. The P9 was good and better but not the 400,- more B&W wanted and that’s why it...- Borbarad

Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion
It is bit weird for this one. I mean when the PX7 II arrived you could have the first reviews unboxing etc on YouTube but for this one PX8 its zero. It is really dead quiet. Even on the normal Hi-F front , only basic press releases etc… Still hoping that this is the First proper new B&W since...- Borbarad

Focal Elear - Impressions Thread
Great review! And I agree. The burnin this headphone want is a bit excessive. Once its there it really opens up. and like you there are two items where i want just a bit more. Stage depth and a base that has more feel to it. B- Borbarad

Focal Elear - Impressions Thread
Of course the Elear has not a Treble problem. Not at all. Not permanent as the boerps wants to understand... Its not just that refined (otherwise it would be an Utopia based on the reviews) where i think from Frequency response it gets a bling once in a while. B- Borbarad

Well, the point is not that the treble is harsh. Its very good, but sometimes you hear the harsh, odd one. Like a peak, a bling...... B- Borbarad

Focal Elear - Impressions Thread
Hello, So, I bought the Elear and the price I paid in store was less than the 1000,- EUR. So, I couldn't resist. My main gear is the Meridian Prime Headphone Amp with the Prime Power Supply. For the analog section I have a Transrotor FatBob turntable attached and for USB a Mac with...- Borbarad

Keep 650 and buy WA8 or buy Elear and Meridian Prime?
Well, the HD650 is a 300ohm. Way to much for the Prime (100 to 80 and less). But for me that doesn't change much as the 650 is a lethargic veiled Headphone B- Borbarad

Keep 650 and buy WA8 or buy Elear and Meridian Prime?
I don't thing the dip isn't mich of an issue. Overrated from my perspective. The great thing is about the Elear is value for money. Still think the LCD-X beats it, but it is a stunning allrounder. In needs to break in!! 100 to 150hrs. And I Like the long Cable I listen to a lot a different...- Borbarad

Keep 650 and buy WA8 or buy Elear and Meridian Prime?
Hi, I have the Prime plus Power Supply and the Focal Elear. It's a brilliant pairing and the Prime has mor than enough Power to drive them. As for the HD650... I don't know but never as a fan of them at all. The issue with the Prime is exactly what you need. The DAC Amp is at least as...- Borbarad

Wow These are great news. If also got the Meridian Primeand it's good to hear that they match very well. I'm in the market for the higher end stuff and also like the Audeze LCD line. I'm really curious how the will match up. B- Borbarad

Meridian Prime Headphone Amplifier Review
Firmware is up! Update is easy but you have to bypass the Power Supply -> USB direct in Prime. Now, we need test Tracks. 2L has some and you can hear some difference, but I’m more in for POP/Rock. The Kate Bush Sample track apparently is very good but cannot find. B- Borbarad

Meridian Prime Headphone Amplifier Review
From what Ive heared very similar. I use my Prime +Power Supply to get the best out of both worlds: Vinyl (Transrotor) and USB Audio (Mac). Lets see what MQA brings to the table. B- Borbarad

Audeze EL-8: The EL-8 is a must-hear at CES 2015
Oh well... Owning the Meridian Prime and PSU setup, a lovely B&W P7 and soon a Transrotor Turntable package connected to the Prime ... plus I really like the LCD-X (and 3F) and someday I would own one. Now this one. I hope this LE-8 will probably have a lot in common with the LCD-X...- Borbarad

Need Help with Amp Decision for LCD-3f before deployment
What about the Meridian Prime with or without the optional PSU? Both, Audeze and Meridian, have them always in action at show floors. I think they are a near perfect match. I've the Meridian setup, but no Audeze yet... But tried this compo a few time and someday I will have an Audeze. B- Borbarad
