Upgrade from Takstar Pro 80: comfortable, over ear, closed, more bass, <€250
The Soundmagic HP150 would cost me around €110, shipping included, with the current sale on soundmagic's website. I've also found the Sony MDR-1AB for around €140 in portuguese physical stores. I've read some very good reviews about these, would they be a good option?- rebelinho

Upgrade from Takstar Pro 80: comfortable, over ear, closed, more bass, <€250
Ah, completely forgot about them. I actually thought about getting them when I first bought the Takstar. I can also get refurbished A900X from Thomann, but I've read they're a bit too neutral. What are your experiences with them?- rebelinho

Upgrade from Takstar Pro 80: comfortable, over ear, closed, more bass, <€250
Hi there, how's it going? I hadn't logged in for three years but the need for an upgrade brought me back. I've had a pair of Takstar Pro80s for 3 years now, and they're great. Comfortable, with Brainwavz pads they just have no competition in that matter. Sound is pretty good, but I want more...- rebelinho

Fulla (by) Schiit - News, photos, thoughts, impressions, etc.
I don't need anything besides the headphone out, perhaps the bass boost might come in handy, but the only use I would give the amp/dac would be with headphones and a laptop. I guess from your answers that my choice is not really... a choice. I'll see if I can get a Fulla in the...- rebelinho

Fulla (by) Schiit - News, photos, thoughts, impressions, etc.
Alright, thanks. Just two more questions: 1- The difference between the E10K and Fulla in the highs/mids is as accentuated as in the bass region? 2- Value wise, E10K for 75$ ot Fulla for 97$? Considering build quality, sound, etc- rebelinho

In what way are the E10K lows better? More presence/punch, less bloating, deeper...?- rebelinho

Fulla (by) Schiit - News, photos, thoughts, impressions, etc.
I have a few albums in 24/192 flac, not due to the need of it but because I can't get them in 16/48 or anything else. If go to the control panel on W7, Sound, etc, and change the sound to 16/96, for example, will Foobar play it in 16/96 and, therefore, Fulla play it too? Or do I need to do some...- rebelinho

Probably better. At least it has a decent headphone amp built in, delivering 300mW @ 32 Ohm, so it will be suficient for most headphones on it's own. About the DAC, sonically, we'll have to wait to find out, but it has the same chip as Modi.- rebelinho

NVX XPT100 versus Beyer DT770pro ? Or other?
The main differences between the Pro80 and HP150 would be: 1- Round vs Oval pads 2- I would say the HP150 has a better sound in overall, but nothing too extreme. Maybe the sound is more envolving, warmer, more defined, but it is definitelly bassier and more spacious. 3- I am sure that...- rebelinho

IMHO the blue mesh is a bit overdone in there, having it red (for a full "Look at my fockin' headphones") or black could be a good change- rebelinho

Figuring out if DT990 PRO is fake
I get you mate, I live in Portugal and getting a Magni shipped here would cost me 40$! If I can find a better website I'll let you know. How much are you willing to pay for the DAC/Amp combo? And it is just for home use right?- rebelinho

Headphone amps and DACs
The upcoming Schiit Fulla seems like a good option for someone who is undecided (or short on money). Expected to be 79$, output 300mW to 32Ohm, and that's pretty much what we know so far. Have a look here for more...- rebelinho

You have three options: 1- IEMs. I won't be listing options as it seems you don't want them. 2- On-ear with great isolation, but poor comfort. One implies the other, as the isolation comes from tight head clamp and sometimes not so padded earpads. There's no way around. Examples: HD25-1...- rebelinho
