Thanks. Had customs in the past and prefer universal solution. Customs were not good for walking after a while. Regarding cable thanks for suggestion. Would this cable solve certain graininess around drum cymbals notes I am experiencing? But but but.. Fir earphones via Mytek are much more...- kenniGT

Deeper fit did not work for me with provided tips. Today symbio foam/silicon arrived and it is an improvement. I think seal is better and they sit more secured inside ear canal. Music is not as lean sounding as before, there is more weight and energy. Rotating earphones slightly backward also...- kenniGT

Ok so after 40+ hours of play, earphones are much less aggressive at the top. Higher notes and vocals are now well controlled. But my worry is bass leakage, not sure if this is by design or it is my ear anatomy by when I push them towards my head, bass level seams right. When they just sit in my...- kenniGT

Actually that will be the case. I have nice copper cable for my old shure 846, so I will just ask toxic cable to swap to two pin connectors. It is 3.5mm. And yes, I have also feeling that they can be overdriven by DAP. Will test it with my mytek where the jucie should have more quality, but need...- kenniGT

For me first ~25h was massive difference. First hours were painful to my ears. Dunno, maybe I am more sensitive for higher frequencies, but... I am still half deaf as I hear only up to 15khz. My girlfriend 17khz (but she is 10 years younger). Will try coper cable in time, tips ordered but will...- kenniGT

Yesterday at 72 volume it was so bright and so much energy above 10k it was impossible to listen without eq. everything above 12k. Now, after 27h of play at the same volume level, is much more balanced, energy in higher frequencies went down, and it is more delicate up there. S syllables do...- kenniGT

I would need MS, if foam/silicon combined (as orange stock). For silicon only, M size should be ok, as I used in the past Westone Black M size 12mm. For me stock M orange needs to be screwed in into my ear. Very tight. But, in Brexitland, not easy to get any of tips you suggesting. Will need to...- kenniGT

Update! :D After 10hours it is already is getting better. Balance went away from high frequencies to the middle, metalic syllables coating gone, square S pronunciation also almost gone. Plate is good idea but I would still loose it. My mind like to loose the plot and forget, I can mix everything at any time, loose what I just had in my hand without a trace. I can share my experinence I had with customs 10years ago, westone sth I think. First 2 years ok. No issues. Then only when stationary as ear canal moves ( and changes in time ) during walking and it was causing loosing of seal. But not sure what thenics there are today. Soundwise it was an...- kenniGT

I have to make my mind quickly as after Lasik surgery I can not see well from 20cm down, and this is required when you drop the filter, to know which side is for the tool. Luckily we have phones with cameras those days, but.... takes too much time and it is prone to loosing/damaging the filter...- kenniGT

Tried all of them. Silver most accurate, but Gold probably my favorite. But it does not solve over brightness. Ok, will leave them to play without listening. Thanks! In the meantime. Hi Kozwoz, Did burn in process change anything? I have new set as well now and I am finding what you discovered a while ago. Astell&Kern Launches New R-2R DAP and IEMs at High End Munich 2023
Thank you, so all good than :) Now 2.5h of play and still 70%. As new to the device, I can report that Tidal/qobuz speed is ok. Not Samsung s24 speed for sure, but good enough. And my experience with fast CPUs in smartphones is... they just drain battery faster, so here we have CPU on the limit...- kenniGT

Meridian Director DAC: Anyone here own one?
Hi guys, I am new here. La Mitchell are you still using 320kpbs/radio as a source? If yes, when you switch to foobar + flac (or even cd audio from you laptop) you will have a difference like switching from dragonfly to explorer. Try Adele, Someone Like you. 320kps vs Flac/CD. I can not...- kenniGT
