flinkenick's 17 Flagship IEM Shootout Thread (and general high-end portable audio discussion)
Maybe true. Although I sold my K10s just fine. The real reality is that us idiots spending $2k on headphones shouldn't be doing so if we're worried about resale value.- SoundArtillery

flinkenick's 17 Flagship IEM Shootout Thread (and general high-end portable audio discussion)
I really like the idea of a single dynamic driver able to do it all. The specs are impressive. I just can't imagine dropping $2k on anything but a custom.- SoundArtillery

Advanced AcousticWerkes W900 Hybrid Flagship Thread
I can only compare from memory, because I upgraded my W500, but I will say I consistently find myself discovering new detail in bass tracks that I didn't hear with the W500. The W500 did not have one note bass at all, but the W900 is even further from that concept. I think some may be hearing...- SoundArtillery

Wow, the fit on these is soooo nice. I'm already enjoying these headphones so much. First impressions are a bit of a relief. The bass is still seriously impactful, but I can hear more detail in the notes that I was unaware of before. That's interesting for sure. Soundstaging is indeed...- SoundArtillery

I figured it was just an amateur review. Honestly, we are spoiled by the likes of Twister6 and Crinacle. I was turned on to AAW because of these guys and I've made my way through the lineup because of them. Did you find the turnaround time faster than expected? I'm two weeks in on my W900 wait. AAW was two weeks early on my original W500 purchase.- SoundArtillery

They sold me the W900 for the difference of the full value of the W500 AHMorph and the promotional pricing. That's an amazing deal I could not pass up. I would have probably sold the W500 after receiving the W900 anyway. This was a massive deal, which saved me some time of eBay or Audiogon.- SoundArtillery

Buying Help - Focal Elear vs Advanced Acousticwerkes W500 AHMorph
I actually went with the W500 since I was kind of in a CIEM phase to begin with after the Noble K10. I uneqivoally adore the W500. It blows the K10 away IMHO. It's amazingly musical and just fun to listen to without any fatigue after long hours. I achieved these results with both the Chord...- SoundArtillery

iDSD micro Black Label. Tour details (page 147). Release info (page 153).
Ok, I'm selling my Chord Mojo. I've been jamming out hard at my office desk with the iFi iDSD Black for a week now and the iFi just does it for me. Listening on my AAW W500 AHMorph customs, I am head bobbing and bouncing my knees. This thing just makes music fun as hell. It's not that the...- SoundArtillery

Rupert Neve Designs Announces The RNHP: Precision Headphone Amplifier
Alternatively, is your friend using a Empire Ears Zeus? Those CIEMs have hiss even on the Chord Mojo. I tested a universal version and find hiss at that price level to be a design flaw.- SoundArtillery

Rupert Neve Designs Announces The RNHP: Precision Headphone Amplifier
Is he using the stock power supply? I tried my LH Labs Geek LPS for power and it was noisy. The stock power supply is dead silent with Noble K10, AAW W500 and Shure SE535. The only time I hear hiss is when I turn the volume to near max without any music playing. Of course when I'm actually...- SoundArtillery

Rupert Neve Designs Announces The RNHP: Precision Headphone Amplifier
This amp is spectacular. I purchased it for my Noble K10s and I was shocked by the added detail, bass, instrument separation that was not there with my Chord Mojo amp alone. Honestly, best audio purchase in a long while.- SoundArtillery

Hello All, I currently have a pair of Noble K10s, which I use for all my listening from critical to video games to travelling. I used to accomplish this with a number of headphones: Audeze LCD-3F, Sennheiser HD800, and Shure 535. I've been looking for something more dynamic and...- SoundArtillery

Hey Guys, So how's this for a turn of events . . . Darin got me thinking and I poured over the processes running on my computer. Hey Darin, I really want this program to work precisely for the Movies! I built a headphone home theater with a 120 screen, Epson HD Projector and buttkickers in the seating for bass. My dealer recommended OOYH to me after I recently purchased a pair of Audeze LCD-3s from him. My setup consists of three amps a Burson Soloist, ALO "The PanAm" and ASUS Xonar STX. I have a Wyred4Sound DSD-SE performing DAC duties generally, but I also sometimes use the onboard DACs of the ALO...- SoundArtillery
