the kit seems amazing the 2000mah should bring up the run time to over 16 hours the battery is a li-po and not a li-on right? if so be careful dont leave it in a car on a hot day.

None of this is ideal, i know. it seems to me if we cant get the ssd manufacturer to bring the power needed from 1700 mah (and even more for the 1tb models - if im not mistaken) down to around 1000 or 800 mah then having a crazy ass amount of music on a "portable" player does not seem practical...

its very possible this is not available on the 6g or the 7g ipods since the rockbox builds for those models are still in beta , maybe they will have it later or maybe the hardware will never allow for an amperage meter feature aka ibat.   in my opinion the thick 5.5g is the best ipod to get...
