Amps driven within spec' and below their clipping point are indistinguishable if set up properly so switching op amp IC's is pretty pointless.- Magic Man

To be fair to the seller, you replaced IC's - you could easily be the reason it no longer functions. It's neither his nor PayPal's fault.- Magic Man

Quick question. Using mine with Wharfedale 9.1 speakers, 6ohm like the Creative xm7 set. Some guidance says to set the amp output impedance to 4ohms whilst another says 8ohm. Advice?- Magic Man

Creative Sound Blaster X7 - Detailed Review & Impressions
With regards input selection, how does this work without using the app? E.g. if I have something on the line in, say a CD player, what input selection is set when the X7 is turned on? Does it default or 'stick' to what was last set, what if power is completely disconnected? Is there any way to...- Magic Man

Article: "Why USB Cables Can Make a Difference"
I like to use a longer USB cable when listening to rock music to allow the lower depth. I find dropping the centre of the cable lower than the source also helps to accentuate the perception of bass, sort of sing cable shaping as a dynamic equaliser. /s- Magic Man

Agree, ideally you don't want any pressure on the pads. Just support them by the headband so there's no constant tension and nothing pressing on the earpads.- Magic Man

Creative Sound blaster E5 - Headphone amp + USB DAC with OTG + Toslink + aptX + recording + more.
Could someone answer a question bout the SBX software? Under the sliders in the SBX area are little triangles - what do they relate to? I assumed they were the current SBX settings saved on the device itself but, if that is so, how do I then update the device settings since they don't change...- Magic Man
