I tried that and it works! That means the delay must be some weird software bug on rockbox...hopefully it'll get fixed in a future release.- gecko92

Rockbox Xduoo X3
I even tried resetting rockbox, but nothing changed... I really can't get why this is happening. EDIT: I just noticed something: the delay is of about 7 seconds on flacs with higher bitrate (1.7-1.8 Mbps), while on lower bitrates (1Mbps and lower) the delay is 1.5-2 seconds. Hmm...- gecko92

Rockbox Xduoo X3
Hmm...I tried formatting the sd to Fat32 with 4096 kb sectors, but the issue remains. The card is a legit samsung evo, so I can't understand where the problem is... Are you using the latest version of rockbox (Boot: d312ba8M-160316, System: b708dbc-160501)? Have you configured rockbox in...- gecko92

Rockbox Xduoo X3
Hello everyone! Recently I bought an X3 and rockboxed it. I love it, but everytime I play a file, it takes some seconds to start. It goes from 2-3s for mp3s, to 5-6s for FLACs. Is that normal? I tried using the same mSD on my rockboxed Clip Zip and everything plays istantly. The only time...- gecko92

"Ear Kegs" - MusicMaker Phantom III / Shockwave III appreciation & impressions
I'm really interested in this IEM, but the price is quite high for me...I've never spent that much money on any piece of audio equipment. That's why I'm torn between these and the MusicMaker TK12...is the upgrade in SQ worth 130$ over the tk12's price? Thanks- gecko92

Creative Sound blaster E5 - Headphone amp + USB DAC with OTG + Toslink + aptX + recording + more.
Hello everyone! I ended up on this page by chance and got to know this device, and now I'm considering buying it But I also discovered the E3, which seems much more portable and considerably cheaper (99€ vs 169€ here in Italy)... Can anyone compare the SQ on these two? The only thing I'm...- gecko92

Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread
The more I read this thread, the more kz products I buy! I already have the ES and the EDSE, and I'm waiting for the GR and the LPS to arrive. The EDSE and ES are both great, their sound is quite similar. The only difference my inexperienced ears can notice is the quantity of bass (more on the...- gecko92

REVIEW: Vivo Xplay 3S + XE800 Mobile audio perfection
Well, the bass is definitely more prominent. As I said, I'm not an expert, so I don't know the exact terms, but I find the xe800 more energetic, as you said, while the havis are perhaps colder, but more spacious (Their soundstage makes me wow) and a bit more detailed. Both have great clarity. I...- gecko92

Need help in choosing cheap Over-ear headphone (Takstar HI2050, Pro80, Somic mh463, EFI-82 MT)
Thanks for the answer. I have looked around the internet and I can't find a good place where to buy the NVXs, it looks like they are sold only in the US, and I live in Italy. Importing them would cost me about 80-90€, without considering possible import duties. As for the other clones, the...- gecko92

Need help in choosing cheap Over-ear headphone (Takstar HI2050, Pro80, Somic mh463, EFI-82 MT)
Then I'm afraid the Pro80 are not for me, since I am quite sensitive to bright/sharp sounds. From what I've read, the Somics seem to be better in SQ than the Takstars, but the Takstars are more comfortable. I usually listen to music for max. 1-2 hours at medium-high volume. I'm leaning...- gecko92

Need help in choosing cheap Over-ear headphone (Takstar HI2050, Pro80, Somic mh463, EFI-82 MT)
Hello everyone, I've been lurking this forum for quite some time, but I haven't found a precise answer to my problem, so I decided to ask it here . I'd like to buy a new pair of over-ear headphones for use at home. I plan on using them mainly for music and for some pc gaming. Initially I was...- gecko92
