I think this mid/bass hump is the weakness of EVO, if you listen to rock/metal then a little EQ to correct this frequencies could be more necessary

No, they come with pleather pad's attached, to put the velour one's you need to stretch them a little bit.   From what i read the only seller from amazon who are sending the v2 w/ extra pads are sonic sense..   When i can i'll get another pair cause i liked very much the confort of these cans
