Does this ring a bell? Because you made a grave presumption. I was talking to you, but I was talking about HouseOfDoom. Now, if someone could tell me how the hell I use these multi-quote thingys.

We can just ignore everything he says. He's just a big KZ hater, as he generally damns the entire line-up without any merit. If anyone has noticed, he leaves a snide remark against KZ or a KZ product in every other page of this thread.

I just got an email from the official KZ store on AliExpress and it seems like they'll hold another big sale this November 11 (tomorrow as of this writing).

I see where your retort is going. But I'm trying actually to be as objective as possible. Not everyone has studio grade mics and an oscilloscope. Anyway, I still standby the EDSE over the Pistons 2.1. Aside from being practically a better version of the same thing in terms of sound, you get...

ES > EDSE > Pistons 2.1. The EDSE is a better comparison to the Pistons 2.1 though because of their similar sound. EDSE > Pistons 2.1. Better at everything except soundstage. Better with an equalizer. Better cables. Better plug. Better price.    I don't have an ED3.

EDSE > Pistons 2.1. They're too similar in terms of sound, but the KZ does sound better and they respond to equalizer changes MUCH better. The Pistons 2.1 are barely adjustable with an EQ. The Pistons 2.1 do nothing better, except provide a slightly wider soundstage. Unless you need a mic and...

These are my EQ settings for the SHE3580 on my Note 3. I'm still working on my final settings for the KZ EDSE, but this EQ setting works nicely on them too. I suggest reducing frequencies under 125 Hz a bit more though, since the EDSE is more bass heavy than the SHE3580.

I was planning on purchasing the LPS, but I already have a Takstar Pro 80. Seems I won't be getting the LPS now.

The KZs (at least the EDSE and ES which I have) are very receptive to changes in the equalizer, just like the Philips SHE3580. They're flexible. I can't say the same for the Pistons 2.1 and to a slightly lesser degree the TTPod T1E, which I also own. The overbearing bass can be tamed easily...

What? You don't make sense. I wouldn't write that comment if I didn't own a CX300 in the first place. I used to own the CX-300 long, long ago. It's been over half a decade since they broke. I can say without hesitation that the KZ EDSE are far better than them.

    Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread

The humble $9 KZ ED Special Edition would mercilessly crush the CX300-ii in every criteria. You can only imagine what sets that cost over $30 in Chinese budget-fi land will offer, although diminishing returns still apply. For instance, the $36 TTPod T1E doesn't sound twice as good as the KZ ED...

I just checked the review of the NS400 over at Digital Trends and Tennmak just Photoshopped the picture. http://www.digitaltrends.com/headphone-reviews/nocs-ns400-review/ Sleazy scumbags. They'll never have my money. I have little doubt that the glowing "feedback" is their doing too...

My KZ ES now has well over 200 hours. I think I can assess it now. The boomy bass from whence it was still a virgin has now mellowed down. Also, most of the veil in the mids has gone. I'm also very happy that the KZs, both my ES and EDSE, are very receptive to being equalized. I could raise any...

    Havi B3 Pro-1 Impressions Thread

My bad, I could swear they use BA drivers every time I hear them though.   It's unfortunate your HD668B's high were never tamed and yours doesn't seem as good. I suppose quality control on cheaper headphones just isn't as good. On mine, instrument separation and quality of bass is...

    Havi B3 Pro-1 Impressions Thread

By "more refined", you must be talking about the harsh highs on the HD668B, whereas the B3 Pro has smoother, less fatiguing highs. They do tame down after a few hundred hours of burn in, and even more with the AKG velour pads. Even without the velour pads, I still can't say the Havi B3 Pro is...

The etchings on the Platinum look cheap and ugly as sin though. I'll wait for their next dual driver offering. Besides, given the descriptions they've released so far I still can't tell if it's really a dual driver IEM. Just like the descriptions on the ES and DT3 appear to indicate dual...

    Havi B3 Pro-1 Impressions Thread

No, I didn't say all of them. But Takstar Pro 80 and Superluxes are, and the Superlux HD668B in particular are basically the Havi B3 Pro with an even more spacious soundstage and better detail retrieval. That's why I like the B3 Pro so much. Unfortunately, convenience is more important to me...

    Havi B3 Pro-1 Impressions Thread

Tried my friend's Havi B3 Pro numerous times on my Note 3. It simply can't drive it well enough. I assume it won't be different on your phone. I LOVE how it sounds if you have at least a portable amp. i.e. FiiO E6 or E11. But it's just a bit of a letdown for the price if your source can't drive...

Well, I already ordered those $15 dual driver IEMs. It's a bit too late now. Besides, I already have two KZ IEMs and have two more incoming. I think I'll take a break from KZs for a while -- not unless they suddenly release a bunch of new models. I still want the Micro Ring for its form factor...

I was supposed to order a KZ Micro Ring from the KZ store on AliExpress just now, but it appears they ran out of stock. So I pulled the trigger on these $15 dual driver IEMs (5 mm + 10 mm dynamic drivers) instead. Impedance is a bit high at 32 ohms though. I just hope my Note 3 can drive this...

    Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread

Against my SHE3580 (or 3590) with equalizer settings to balance out the spectrum, this is how it plays out compared to the ES and ED Special Edition. I won't compare it stock, since the SHE3590 is sounds just above average without any EQ. The SHE3590 being receptive to EQing is what makes it...
