Audeze LCD-5 Review, Measurements, Interview
Just back from a local hi-fi show which luckily had a few headphones booths. My last year favorite combo was the Utopia 2022 with Dcs Lina stack. This year the Utopias were matched with Naim Unity Atom which was not bringing the best of the Utopias. The LCD-5 was my favorite this year, they...- lexterminator

You would be quite pleased, I previously had a Teac UD-505 and the Artemis will be a major upgrade for the headphone amp in terms of details and soundstage.- lexterminator

The 24-step volume increments on the Artemis is linear all the way, with my 32ohm headphones on a typical recording the volume is at 4 clicks to maybe 8 clicks on low-level recordings.- lexterminator

I've had the Artemis as my main headphone amp for over a year and very pleased with it. Very detailed and musical. Wide soundstage and depth improved with SR purple fuses. Went to a theater listening to an orchestra and to me the Artemis is the amp that matches the most a live experience. So...- lexterminator

My Beyer T1.3 are 32ohm and work great on the Artemis, between 1 and 9 clicks (out of 24 and I am using balanced input and output) depending of recording level and on how loud I want. On an average it's usually 4th click.- lexterminator

I am pairing the Artemis with the Gustard R26 DAC, I find it a good match, detail retrieval is good and works well with any recording types and quality. Last spring I went to a local audio show and heard amps such as Holo Bliss KTE and T+A HA200. The HA200 was about 10% more refined and neutral...- lexterminator

It's very musical, compared to the Violectric V100, V200 and Singxer SA-1 that I previously owned, the Artemis was a major step forward in terms of soundstage and musicality. Never had a chance to compare the Artemis to amps such as GSX-Mini. Would be curious to hear both the GSX-Mini and the...- lexterminator

In my case 24 steps with my 32 ohm headphones is really adequate, I typically use between 3-7 clicks depending of the recording level, I never felt falling between two clicks volume wise.- lexterminator

Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen out now
I tried every combination of Dekoni pads plus T1.1, T1.2 and T1.3 pads... with and without the foam insert discs. My favorite combination is the Dekoni Elite Velour pads WITH the foam insert discs. Compared to stock T1.3 pads I get a slight brighter sound, with a bit less bass, wider soundstage...- lexterminator

Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen out now
After trying the stock T1.3, T1.2 (they are less dense than 1.3), T1.1, Dekoni's elite hybrid, elite fenestrated pads in combination with and without the inner foam disks I settled for Elite Velour pads with the inner foam disks. I get a bit less bass with increased clarity over the T1.3 pads...- lexterminator

Holo Audio Bliss
Last Friday I went to a local audio show which was mainly aimed at stereo systems but there were a few premium headphone kits for visitors to try. Audeze had a room and I was very surprised to see a MayKTE/BlissKTE combo in there. I had a chance to briefly hear the LCD-5 and MM-500 with the...- lexterminator

Friendly service by the US service center. The entire board has been changed. Power supply and torroidal are the original ones. Took about 100 hours to settle. Runs great and sounds great !- lexterminator

Singxer SDA-6 Pro DAC. AKM4499 chips. This is the Pro version with Mundorf caps and Crystek 957 clocks. Very detailed and musical DAC. Unit in excellent condition and runs like a champ. Slight discoloration of the top casing, of course not affecting the sound. Excellent review of this DAC...- lexterminator

Gustard DAC-A26 - AK4499EX DAC :: Impressions Thread
I also plan to keep both. I used both SDA-6Pro and R26 through USB playing flac files. The SDA was a nice upgrade over my former Gustard A18 by being more musical while remaining detailed and dynamic. The R26 cranks up the musicality by a few notches and the soundstage is broader compared to...- lexterminator
