Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone
I have the HE1000 Stealth and the Violectric HPA V280. I use the Chord Qutest and i think it is a great match. No cold sounding vibes with this chain...resolving, musical good bass/treble extension. I'm not looking to upgrade anything.- jrjr99

Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone
I have been running a V280 / Qutest combo with a pair of OG Clears (Pro - black with red pads) for the last couple of years. Just bought a new pair of HE1K stealth for £1350 and am giving them their first run. I love the Clears and thought they would be my end game but my curiosity got the...- jrjr99

Focal Elex Pairing
i have the Elex and a ZDT Jr. tube amp - they pair well with a nice rich musical sound however, i prefer them on my smsl sp200 as it has cleaner, deeper bass- jrjr99

Focal Elegia - what do you think?
I agree the elegias do seem more technical but these teaks are detailed, sound smooth and very engaging. More testing is required!- jrjr99

Focal Elegia - what do you think?
just picked up a pair of these on ebay (for £350) to see whether they are an upgrade to my other closed backs, the E-MU Teaks. I am a big fan of the teaks but the bass can overpower some tracks I've only listed to them for about 1 hour but it is clear that they give a very different...- jrjr99

Massdrop x Focal Elex Review & Measurements
Do any replacement pads keep the same sound signature as the original set? The pads on my elex are fine at the moment but they are getting plenty of use (the are superb hooked up Qutest and SMSL SP200).- jrjr99

Massdrop x Eddie Current ZDT Jr. impressions thread
I have this amp powering HD800, Focal Elex and E-MU Teak. Powers all 3 effortlessly and cleanly. It does sound different to my SP200 which is the reason i purchased it. It pairs well with the HD800 which is supposed to be picky.- jrjr99

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
I too have the hd800 and chord mojo... a very nice combination. However, not great for rocking out...which is why i added the purple heart x00. They kick hard and for closed back phones have a good soundstage and are pretty revealing...great at filling the gaps of the hd800- jrjr99

I have been loaned an Epiphany Headphone Amp EHP 02D to try out on my Denon micro system as the microphone out is not the best. The Denon has Aux Out plugs on the back. What next: Do I disconnect the speakers when using the headphone amp or leave the volume right down on the Denon? ...- jrjr99

Need Headphone Amp For New Sennheiser hd600 (source is Denon DM38 mini system)
Help! I have just ordered the Sennheiser HD600 phones and will use my Denon DM38 mini system as my source. I am aware the phones require good amping and am thinking about a dedicated headphone amp. I am therefore looking for suitable recommendations (my budget is pretty tight, up to £150...- jrjr99
