I use it as a preamp into either my OG Aegir or OG Vidar. They're both driving speakers, though. I think that the MJ3 makes a fine preamp. With the right music it can create a HUGE soundstage, even with my favourite FM station as the source. As usual, YMMV. :beerchug: JC

+1 for this. I've been playing with room treatment for a few months now and can confirm that reducing the 'room noise' does indeed reduce distortion and allows increased volume levels. Little things like window coverings make a large difference. :beerchug: JC

Keep in mind that the overloading can also be caused by the load you're trying to feed. :beerchug: JC

Remove one of your SE outputs and see if the problem goes away. It appears that you're running balanced out and two pairs of SE outputs. You may be overloading the Gumby output stage. :beerchug: JC
