I only became aware of this apparent low volume bug when it was mentioned a few posts back. I assume it doesn't affect me as a Mac-user.

Output levels for PCM that's been upsampled to DSD should be 2.5Vrms (XLR) and 1.25Vrms (RCA), i.e. half that of PCM that's output as PCM.

It's balanced at the ear cup end (2.5mm TRRS) but single-ended at the source end (6.3mm TRS), so to make it balanced you'd need to cut off the 6.3mm plug and re-terminate the 4-core cable onto either a 2.5mm TRRS, 4.4mm TRRS or 4XLR, whatever plug suits your chosen source.

We should also remember that the three-way Yggy blind test was conducted using a Ragnarok as the amplifier. The Yggy version that synergises best with this amp may not synergise best with your own amp. Likewise the loudspeakers.
