    Gah. 'Audiophile' USB Cable.

If you really don't care then hey, don't reply!  Let me ask this: Do you care about the cable that transfers music to your digital music player?  (Maybe it's your phone, or Fiio X5, or whatever.)  I'm mostly just curious.  I mean, the correct answer is no, but a yes would be no more crazy than...

    Gah. 'Audiophile' USB Cable.

You, sir, fall under category 'B'.  See my earlier post for more details.

Rank the Headphones that You Own.

I value comfort pretty highly, and the HP50 just doesn't work well on my head. Though I'll admit that in hindsight the 650s are far and away the best. (I've spent some time with them on a decent amp and they've destroyed my other options for music.)

    1. V-Moda M-100 2. Sennheiser HD650 3. AKG K545 4. Ultrasone Pro 900 5. NAD Viso HP50   I do recognize that under perfect conditions the HD650 produces the "best" sound, but I spend enough time gaming with the M-100 + BoomPro that it must take the top spot.

What makes a "true" tube amp? (Aune T1 MK2 question)

Is that purpose different here than the purpose of a tube in other amps?

What makes a "true" tube amp? (Aune T1 MK2 question)

I recently jumped in on a drop for the Aune T1 MK2 headphone amp, and as I was reading more about it I ran across the following post on reddit (there is a very good chance that this guy posts in here too, I'm sure):   quote:   Dude, this is not a tube amp. This is a solid state amp with a...

    Tidal Lossless Streaming

I'll be pleasantly surprised if I can actually hear a difference between these tracks and the 320kbps, but I'm excited to get home and give it a shot.  Is it correct that there is an option to download the tracks to your phone or computer for offline listening?  (Through their software only, of...

    Gah. 'Audiophile' USB Cable.

I actually have a bit of experience with this subject and because of that I want to quickly jump in here.  It is possible (ok, likely) that this same comment was already posted like 20 times, but I could only make it to someone copy/pasting an interview with some "expert" from Audioquest (yeah...

    Noob question about cable upgrade

I have an opportunity to purchase a set of very nice headphones with an "upgraded" cable.  Unfortunately the cable terminates in a 1/4" connector while the output from my amps are 3.5mm.  Would using a relatively cheap 1/4" to 3.5mm adapter (like something from Amazon) effectively eliminate the...

    deleted

I disagree completely.  The OP says he hears "no soundstage, no detail, anything."  If that's the case, he either has defective headphones or a set that he thoroughly hates.  In either case he should give up on them immediately and ideally get his money back.  I personally love these...

HD598 still the King for Gaming?

I would go for the AKG K550 over any of the options in the OP. Huge soundstage for a closed-back with actual isolation and great clarity. Most consoles aren't going to be able to effectively drive the 701 anyway, though if you're always alone at home the 598 would be a reasonable option as well.

    V-Moda Headphone upgrade worth it?

I have owned both of these headphones and can say with 100% certainty that the upgrade is definitely worth it. The M-100s, while by no means "accurate" sounding, are much more refined in a way that even an average Joe could appreciate a marked difference, let alone someone willing to roll up to...

Rank the Headphones that You Own.

Yes, mood and music type, but the #1 factor is probably how long I'm planning to listen.  Like, if I'm looking for an interesting, bass-heavy 20-minute listen, the PRO 900 is an awesome choice.  But anyone who has them will tell you that your ears will hate you after a while.  On the other hand...

V-Moda M-100 AKG K550 NAD Viso HP50 (these would probably be at the top if they were more comfortable) Ultrasone PRO 900 AKG Q701 (blasphemy, right?  I just generally prefer closed sets) German Maestro GMP250 Westone ADV (iem - just purchased these, great comfort but I really dislike the sound...
