LG Quadbeat 3 Impressions Thread
+1 for removing the filter. I took it out completely. Brings out the 500hz-2k range a bit. Still a little peaky around 4k like most dynamics, but all together this is one of my favorite sets. That is until my FAD Heaven ii get here tonight. I'll post comparisons between the two, as well as with...- Bad Wolf

MacaW GT100s(inverted dynamic driver) impressions thread
Wowweee! These are insane! Not just for the price, but they are an excellent choice no matter how much you want to spend on iems. I'm close to writing a full on rave review on these Macaws. I almost prefer them to my $300 Philips Fidelio X1! (Almost ) A new king is crowned!!- Bad Wolf

Interesting...you should try experimenting with different materials and see what's best. I'll experiment with mine in the morning and see what I can come up with.- Bad Wolf

It didn't make any audible difference. I might end up taking the grille off and mess with the filter.- Bad Wolf

That's a shame. I noticed a small hole near the tips, possibly a bass reflex port. I'll try covering it to see if that helps lower the bass at all.- Bad Wolf

Xiaomi Pistons 3.0 Impressions Thread
+1 for legit Tinydeal P3's. They sound pretty good, but I wish I had the little case. I used it a lot with my 2.0. Still great for $15. They aren't too far off from my RHA MA750 as far as SQ. For sure my new workout headphones :)- Bad Wolf

Does anyone know if the foam mod from the 2.0 will work on these? Has anyone even tried to rip these puppies open yet? :curious:- Bad Wolf

Review by 'Bad Wolf' on item 'RHA MA750i'
Gosh, I love these headphones. I bought them after my Xiaomi Piston 2.0 broke, and I have to say, these are a considerable improvement in every department. Now let's get to the review :D Build Quality - The feeling you get when you hold these and gaze upon their majesty is something to...- Bad Wolf

You really can't go wrong with the RHA MA750. The bass goes freakishly low. The build quality is impeccable. I've been listening to Daft Punk a lot today, and I almost can't believe how fantastic they sound. Also, you should look into the Yamaha EPH-100. They apparently have even more bass than...- Bad Wolf

Just a Galaxy S5 with Viper4Android (All eq's turned off). It gets plenty loud. I haven't even tried turning it all the way up yet, because I've been listening at around 50%.- Bad Wolf

Just got my RHA MA-750. 10 seconds into the first song I played - Radiohead's "Down is the New Up", a huge smile stretched itself across my face. My goodness, that was as much a surprise as it was a sigh of relief. The bass is quite pronounced, and it extends SO LOW. Blows the Piston out of...- Bad Wolf

Haha, I think airy is good :) How is the mid-bass on the 750? I always eq'd it down quite a bit on my pistons. I like a warmer sound, but not to the point where it takes a serious hit on mid range clarity.- Bad Wolf

The T1E was actually the first headphone I looked at after my Pistons broke. I was really interested in trying a dual driver system. But the $50 RHA MA750 really jumped out at me. They are built like tanks, so they shouldn't be as fragile. Also, Joker gave the Pistons an 8.1 on sound, while the...- Bad Wolf

Sound - Let's start off with the most important category. The sound is so smooth and warm, like a warm glass of milk. It's really quite comforting. They really work well with most genres. In Radiohead's "I Might Be Wrong", the bass line tickles the left ear with depth and decent detail, while the...- Bad Wolf

Well, I jumped on a pair of RHA MA-750. I found them for $80 bucks on eBay, minus about $30 in eBay bucks. Anyone have experience with these? Any comparisons with the Pistons would also be great :)- Bad Wolf

Noooo! My beloved Pistons have finally failed :'( There's a short near the plug. I'm thinking about replacing them with the super-hyped Tenores or the Ostry KC06. Any other(cheap) suggestions?- Bad Wolf

NEW! Pioneer SE-MJ591 "Audiophile" headphones unboxing & impressions to come.
If anyone is interested, I found an easy mod to make these sound fuller and bassier. All you have to do is open headphones by removing the earpad and removing the screws, look at the back of the driver, and remove the little white sticker covering the hole. This allows the bass to resonate a lot...- Bad Wolf
