    The discovery thread!

I've looked into the EW9's before and I know the SQ isn't the best. They just happen to be a pair I would buy for pure vanity purposes if I could afford to throw that much away on pure looks lol . That being said I am kinda disappointed the IM series doesn't hold a candle to the CK10/100...

    The discovery thread!

Also looking for something light and airy with sparkly treble as a good counterpart to the M200's. I was thinking IM02's but any other suggestions that are technically on par with the M200's would be appreciated.

    The discovery thread!

Sorry but I now hate you for bringing these, and by extension these http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-audio-technica-ATH-EW9-BROWN-Portable-Headphones-adjustable-wooden-clip-on-/221355960684?pt=US_Headphones&hash=item3389d7e96c to my attention.   Why does Audio-Technica have to make such beautiful...

    KEF M500/M200 Impressions Thread

I got the M200 about a week ago and I've been enjoying them immensely, with no fit issues using the small stock tips. Seeing as they're already comfortable with the stock tips, is there any sonic benefit to tip rolling or is it just all about the fit?

    PX100-II Review | Discussion Thread

The px-100's will always hold a place in my collection due to the fact that they were the headphones that showed me how good music could sound. That being said, I've found the straight jack to pretty much be the bane of my existence, over the 4 or so years I used them as my primary set...

    Sennheiser PX-100-II and PX-200-II

http://www.head-fi.org/t/433318/shootout-108-portable-headphones-reviewed-denon-dn-hp1000-added-09-07-13   I'd recommend checking out this thread for more info =).

    Sennheiser PX-100-II and PX-200-II

It's been a long time since I went from the px-100's to the II's, but If memory serves the II's have pretty much the same sound quality but are a little darker and bassier.   As for other suggestions if you're willing to spend more I've found the Audio-Technica ES-55's to better in almost...

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM

I love the graph for the H3 "check it out guys, this is the bit that does makes the sound HIGH RESOLUTION" =). Speaking of Sony marketing, don't they also like to claim that their high end headphones can produce sound up to like 30,000Hz?

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM

I've got about a week of regular use, maybe 2 hours a day, on mine and they only real change I noticed was in the first couple of hours during which the bass settled down a bit.

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM

Yeah, for a minor step down in clarity you get better soundstage, bass and a more natural timbre. That being said I'm actually starting to think my perceived loss on clarity could just be down to less energetic treble, because with my viper4android settings I'm sure I'm getting just as much...

    The discovery thread!

Would anyone in the thread be able to compare the H1's with MA750's or S2's? I was looking into the latter two before the H1's ambushed me in a shop, would they still be worth checking out?

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM

I don't why I didn't before as I don't think I've ever listened to the xba-3 with the regular sony tips lol.   As for fit I know what you mean, as much I'm interested in the H3's after the TF10 I want nothing more to do with frankenbolts. The H1 is pretty much the same length as the xba-3...

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM

I finally decided to throw the tips I was using on my xba-3 (generic wide bore) onto the H1 and wow, I don't know why I didn't do this before. They've suddenly become a lot clearer and more open, I still wouldn't put them quite on the same technical level as the xba-3's, they lack that last...

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM

I would say the H1's are a slight downgrade in technical ability but superior in sound signature lol, it's a bit of a dilemma for me now which to keep as my everyday 'phones =S. I guess it depends on what aspects of sound your priorities lie in.

    The discovery thread!

Just registered and wanted to say thanks to this thread and all in it for informing me that good sound doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg, been reading since the FX101 was the hot new thing and just wanted to say keep up the good work guys =)

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM

Examples of songs where better separation shines:     Note that this is nitpicking and I'm still very heavily considering replacing the xba-3's with the H1's as my walking around 'phones.   Edit: should probs mention that all listening has so far been performed form my phone (HTC One V)...

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM

Long time lurker, first time poster, I picked the H1's today and after an afternoon listening to them I would say compared to the xba-3's they have a much better soundstage ,better (slightly north of neutral but not by too much) bass and more natural highs, but don't have the detail or...
