It's a grounding issue. It happens when connected to a tablet, which is being charged. Pulling the power cable stops the buzzing. Btw that tablet leaks electricity like crazy while charging. And you can tell when usb-pd kicks in by sound.

At this point I have to say the V30 drives every 50ohm headphone I've used. I haven't tried anything higher. The planar Monoprice M1060 sounds very good, maybe very slightly better with a desktop amp but it might be my imagination.

I'm looking to run the M1060 off an external amp. Currently it's being fed by the onboard audio of a Clevo P775DM3 laptop. It does have an amp, but it sounds very mediocre(my LG V30 drives other headphones better). I'd like something with a relatively small form factor. It will be always plugged...

In regards to the Quad DAC issue, it does not need 50Ohms. It can be toggled from quick settings, and yes, there is a difference. I surely don't have golden ears, but I do notice a difference with Neutron Player and FLAC files playing through a 16-Ohm IEM.

Edited to add more IEMs and increased budget. But that is only if it is worth spending that much for the specific audio source.

The V30 can drive up to 600ohms. However the quad DAC also works with <50ohms.

The sound signature is irrelevant, the iPod makes the hiss even with no music playing. Could it be that the IEMs are too sensitive?

Actually, I did not even try the original firmware. I rockboxed it right away.

I decided to go for the Clip+ and the AH-C560R. The Clip+ has arrived, and I believe it sounds better than the Nano, with no need for EQ, unlike the Nano. The Denons are still stuck in delivery, so I can't comment on them yet.

Are there any noticeable differences between the 3 IEMs? Some reviews say the M4 have a slightly lower midrange. Also, How does the Clip Zip differ from Clip+? Do they have a difference in sound quality?
