I've had many successful experiences with crowd funding, and I'm not going to dissuade anyone from participating in one. Sadly, this one was a failure, and quite an expensive one at that. I'm out thousands.

Yup. I'm one of those people, and I have the email thread from them to prove it. I also *overpaid* shipping, and they also refused to refund the overpayment, and I have the email thread to prove that as well.

At the time I was setting it up, the Mac version of Kodi had some bit streaming issues with some of the audio codecs passing through to my AVR, which Windows didn't have, so I went with Win10 and haven't had any issues with it.

Yes, an HTPC is definitely the way to go to enjoy multichannel content with the Mobius. An active USB extension cable is all I needed to enjoy watching 7.1 content on my HTPC (a totally silent boot-camped Mac Mini running Win10 Pro and Kodi) which is located 12 feet away from my sitting position...

I bought mine for one and only one purpose.....watching 7.1 content from my HTPC at night when the rest of my family is asleep. At that, they are brilliant, and well worth it IMHO.

What's even more laughable is that they demanded we pay up front for shipping ($165 USD) and that was OVER 2 YEARS AGO. I am ashamed at how I got suckered into this.

This really is beyond frustrating. It really doesn't appear like I'll ever see my Vi Tube (or Wave DAP, for that matter). Talk about a death watch.

Yes, I mainly use them to watch multichannel content at night when my family is asleep. They're perfect for that. And no, I don't notice the hiss at all while the movie is playing.
