Light Harmonic Geek Wave
I've had many successful experiences with crowd funding, and I'm not going to dissuade anyone from participating in one. Sadly, this one was a failure, and quite an expensive one at that. I'm out thousands.- EdmontonCanuck

Yup. I'm one of those people, and I have the email thread from them to prove it. I also *overpaid* shipping, and they also refused to refund the overpayment, and I have the email thread to prove that as well.- EdmontonCanuck

I wonder what my $2300 would be worth now if instead I had invested that in [Apple or Tesla or "pick any hot stock you want"] six years ago....- EdmontonCanuck

Light Harmonic Geek Wave
So Jarek, a quick question... Is the fact that LH is offering IEM exchanges for Pulse or Analogue components an admission that LH will never ship these components out? And by extension, if LH gets around to offering some kind of exchange for Wave or Vi DAC backers that that is also an admission...- EdmontonCanuck

Time for another Calgary Meet-up?
As far as I can tell, it's now been 3 years since the last meet-up in Calgary (the 13th Meetup in Oct. 2016). Is there any head-fi enthusiasts still down there willing to organize one so I have an excuse to drive down for the weekend?- EdmontonCanuck

It was an internal sales competition to see who could sign up the most suckers to the various Indiegogo perks, I imagine. Or perhaps it was who could come up with the most custom configurations and push the actual production schedule of all the customized units beyond the realm of being...- EdmontonCanuck

I for one am not willing to so easily let him off the hook. The last thing we need is for Larry to be able to claim that backers told him give up the project and somehow allow him to justify (in his mind) that it was then OK to do so.- EdmontonCanuck

LH Labs' gorgeous Vi Dac ( Tube + SS outputs )
Wouldn't that just be another kick in the balls....finally getting notified that your Vi Dac is shipping but you'll have to pony up another $500 to receive it. Edit: don't take this post seriously ;)- EdmontonCanuck

microZOTL 3 by Linear Tube Audio. True High End Audio.
@jamato8 Did you have the stock MZ2 or did you have a modded one? I had my MZ2 fully upgraded by Ben @MojoAudio, running off of one of his Illuminati V3 LPS's and am wondering how all of his treatments (anti-resonance, silver wiring, upgraded caps etc) compares to the MZ3 now?- EdmontonCanuck

Refunds are NEVER going to happen, so everyone should just get over this fact. I'm not saying the Wave player will be delivered (still hopeful about that, but maybe that's just me being foolish again foolishly optimistic), or if not, some other type of compensation might be offered (very...- EdmontonCanuck

Was there a general announcement about RMA'ing the pre-revision 'phones from @Audeze that I missed? (I admit to completely abandoning that other horrendous thread so if it was posted there I missed it). Or were you simply proactive and initiated it with them directly yourself? Audeze Mobius review / impressions
@Audeze or @KMann , a few weeks back (on that other thread which I had to stop subscribing too) it was mentioned that Audeze would be reaching out those few who got the first shipped units about RMA'ing them back for the modified (reduced noise floor) version. Any news on that front?- EdmontonCanuck

At the time I was setting it up, the Mac version of Kodi had some bit streaming issues with some of the audio codecs passing through to my AVR, which Windows didn't have, so I went with Win10 and haven't had any issues with it.- EdmontonCanuck

Yes, an HTPC is definitely the way to go to enjoy multichannel content with the Mobius. An active USB extension cable is all I needed to enjoy watching 7.1 content on my HTPC (a totally silent boot-camped Mac Mini running Win10 Pro and Kodi) which is located 12 feet away from my sitting position...- EdmontonCanuck

I bought mine for one and only one purpose.....watching 7.1 content from my HTPC at night when the rest of my family is asleep. At that, they are brilliant, and well worth it IMHO.- EdmontonCanuck

LH Labs' gorgeous Vi Dac ( Tube + SS outputs )
What's even more laughable is that they demanded we pay up front for shipping ($165 USD) and that was OVER 2 YEARS AGO. I am ashamed at how I got suckered into this.- EdmontonCanuck
