So I saw in the first post that you used the equalizer app for the iPad What do you recommend for a MacBook? I've heard spotEQ is good, but I've also heard of media monkey/ Jammix enhancer and other plugins. Is that overkill, should I stick to one EQ program? Thanks man

What's the consensus on the Fiio e10k? Also, do most people here listen to FLAC or other lossless formats?

Would a DAC be helpful if I usually stream Spotify @320kbps? I'm looking at the e12 and the 10k, can't really tell the difference other than one has DAC and the other doesn't.

Hey thanks for the reply. I don't want an amp though. I am not crazy into the delicacies of music, I just sometimes wanna listen to rap/trap/edm with good bass. I was very satisfied with my old xb500 without an amp. What is comparable? Sz1000 or is it very different?

Anyone here have experience with both the Sony xb500 and the JVC sz1000? I'm listening straight out of iPhone. No amp. And I just miss the xb500 bass. Does the sz1000 come close? Or any other headphone in same price range??
