Have you tried playing any games with them? I am interested in the quality of the surround sound when it comes to direction, e.g. footsteps or gunfire.

I have already looked into it, but Astro support said the mixamp depended on the existing sound card. I know next to nothing about sounds cards and audio technology in general, so I really have no clue, but I kind of counted the Astro mixamp out after that. Was I misinformed? 

So I have been looking around and found the Asus Xonar U7. However, I cannot seem to find a single proper review of it. Does anyone around here have any experiences with it?
