    Numark Redwave, or Pioneer HDJ-1500?

I'm looking for a pair of DJ'ing headphones that I can, well, DJ with, mix with (if the response is flat enough) and just listen to music casually on, and I'm looking at these two, which is better and why?

Sony MDR-V6 vs Sony MDR-7506 for music production on FL Studio 11

Alright. I am curious though about the lack of manufacturing consistency about the V6 or the 7506, I'm seeing more and more frequent reviews of people buying these headphones and having them sound like night and day when compared. The CD900ST, I'm a fair bit surprised they don't fold up, and as...

Sony MDR-V6 vs Sony MDR-7506 for music production on FL Studio 11

Interesting, this is a hard one. So portability or sound, features or quality. The reason why this decision is so complicated for me is because a priority for me is build quality. That's the big thing and now, I'm struggling with what's most important, the build quality, or the sound quality...

Sony MDR-V6 vs Sony MDR-7506 for music production on FL Studio 11

Wow O_o Did you compare the two side by side? Also, if these aren't portable, fold-up cans, would the V6/7506 be competitive? Sorry for harping on the two but it just seems the V6/7506 fit my criteria.

Sony MDR-V6 vs Sony MDR-7506 for music production on FL Studio 11

How are they not accurate? Did they last this long for no reason?

Sony MDR-V6 vs Sony MDR-7506 for music production on FL Studio 11

Glad they have a coiled cable, however as for the build quality the same was said for the Shure SRH-440's. I can't take that chance. Also I'm not rough on my headphones by ANY stretch. I'd also prefer something portable as I'm getting into DJ'ing, hence the V6/7506.

Sony MDR-V6 vs Sony MDR-7506 for music production on FL Studio 11

My biggest problem with the 7510 is the lack of a coiled cord (I believe) and a plastic design.

Wouldn't it just be a good idea to buy the V6/7506 with the Beyerdynamic EDT 250 pads?

Sony MDR-V6 vs Sony MDR-7506 for music production on FL Studio 11

The main reason why is build quality. I've spent money on Shure SRH440's and they ended up breaking. Plus the Sony's have been around THIS long, they have to have a great build quality.

Sony MDR-V6 vs Sony MDR-7506 for music production on FL Studio 11

Alrighty. I guess my ultimate decision is inconclusive as I'm most likely just gonna buy the headphone that's cheaper at the time (I'm not buying them right away)

Sony MDR-V6 vs Sony MDR-7506 for music production on FL Studio 11

Alright, but at the same time I don't know if it'd be worth more to invest in the V6, as right now on Amazon the 7506 is $84.95, and the V6 is $99. (U.S Dollars BTW)

I know one very significant difference between the two is the magnet used in the driver, have you noticed any difference in the sound, by any considerable margin?

Sony MDR-V6 vs Sony MDR-7506 for music production on FL Studio 11

I purchased a pair of Shure SRH-440 headphones about 9 months ago, and I loved them, however I say loved because the beams holding the left earcup in place broke, and my newborn kittens chewed up the exposed cables, and I've been looking at these headphones for actually 2-3 years now, but I need...

    SHURE SRH440 or SHURE SRH550DJ (I'm a total noob)

I recently tried out the Shure SRH550DJ's at a local Guitar Center. Only two words to say about them - GET THEM. Seriously, they're amazing on balance, looks, build quality, and comfort. Sound is probably the best for $100. Very clear as well.
