Would a Cayin C5 and a DAC connected to a computer without EQ be enough to get quality bass with the S2ks?

has anyone tried these with q701 pads? if they are just like the annies, they should sound similar to the q701's with a pad change. for people with both, mind detailing any impressions of the k7xx's with the q701 pads?

Yes, I've heard that a lot around these forums, but I am buying the Number 1 bass headphones on the basshead thread and want even more bass on those phones. I know what I am getting myself into when I EQ. So I'd still like an answer to my question 

I was wondering which would be better. There are a lot of popular bass eqs like the ones on the ZO FS and ZO2. However, I also have Equalizer APO and am willing to learn how to do accurate parametric eqing. What do you guys think?

Exactly. I think it would become enormously popular. Planars focus too much on the audiophile community. If they released a consumer bass heavy version, I reckon it would do might well. 

Are there any other downsides to getting the SZ1000 over the S2k? I'm thinking S1k is a better mixture of vocals and bass for that popular big room house music. I'm seriously considering picking one of these bad boys up

Hey RPGwiz, I've read a lot of your posts on the ZO2 and the ZO FS. I listen to a lot of EDM and am thinking of getting one of the ZOs to boost the bass. After I read your bolded part above, I immediately hesitated to jump on the ZO FS. Do you think I should just get the ZO2 for EDM?

amped with Fiio E09k/E07k combo. it might be the amp, but i don't have the budget to afford a nicer amp :(
