Does anyone have experience with the Kef LS50?
Did you find the Cyrus Streamline 2 was sufficient to power the KEF LS50 since it's only 30w/8ohm. I had the same setup but just felt a bit uncomfortable pushing the Streamline. Hence I bought a second hand Cyrus 6XP. After about a month of listening I am now contemplating buying a Cyrus X power...- zigy626

Printed Circuit Board of Cyrus 6VS2 Amplifier. Question.
Thanks for your reply. It's reassuring to know that it's just a coating and has no effect on the amplifier. Could you please also let me know the technical term used for this particular coating, so as I may google it and learn some more about it. Cheers.- zigy626

Printed Circuit Board of Cyrus 6VS2 Amplifier. Question.
This picture is of of Cyrus 6VS2 amplifier. Its got a good headphone out as I have tried it with my HD800's. However I have a issue with the Amp. I bought it from ebay for around £200 and having opened it up to check if everything was ok I found that the white enamel/material (don't know what...- zigy626

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
They sound fine, nothing buzzing or funny sounds (as I listen to some loud music right now). Actually this whole thing prompted me to inspect the drivers closely. And in the process I took off the ear pads which after 5 months of use needed a good wash as it is along with the headband. The whole...- zigy626

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
Went to this website http://www.audiocheck.net/soundtests_headphones.php and tried the Quality test/ Bass Shaker on the HD800's. Apparently in my enthusiasm to test how far I can push I think I over did it to a point where the drivers were rattling. This was on almost on the full volume pot on...- zigy626

Auditioned Sennheiser HD-26 PRO
Maybe they are more like the Amperior rather than the HD25 II. But it would be hard to place the product around the £270 mark (Amperior, Momentum). I think it would be much cheaper than the Euro 285 price quoted on the German website. If they are anything like the Amperior it would be an awesome...- zigy626

Mac OS X Music Players - alternatives to iTunes

Mac OS X Music Players - alternatives to iTunes
Quote: I dont think it would be possible to stream music to Airport Express through A+. Even with the iTunes integration mode enabled since all the music is routed through A+ it would be responsible for handling the output. And A+ does not have the Airplay feature built into it as it is a...- zigy626

Quote: +1 Although I am not really into Pop but I once tried listening to some Madonna and it was unbearable on the HD800. Too bright. I get your point the HD650 are a really good pair of headphones. Try listening to some Jazz/Fusion on the HD800 oh man what an amazing experience. Chick...- zigy626

Denon D7100?!
I think its time we definitely move on. I can understand the disappointment some people feel with the design and sound of the D7100. But guys its the companies decision where they want to be in the market place. Maybe Denon looked at the sales figure of Beats and decided that they want to...- zigy626

Since this is an appreciation thread for the HD800 I would just like to put this in writing.
