Nope - channel specific data to each DAC board. I.e. only left data and clocks goes to left DAC board. Plenty of room in centre for FIFO and RPi but you may struggle with power supplies for these components. Might be a photo of my setup on diyAudio - mines pretty bodgy :P

This is true. Although it may not use the 5V, the GND connection is still required and is considerably noisy. You can get a cheap galvanic isolator for the amanero board to mitigate this (diyinhk) but it requires a bit of DIY.
