Reply to review by 'iern' on item 'HiSoundAudio Wooduo 2'
I am sorry, I have not tried vPulse, so I can't comment on them... On the other hand, Wooduo's have been holding quite well during last 2 years - still my no.1 bass music IEM. The biggest problem with them is the fit - unless you get a proper fit (and I have gone through bags of tips before I...- iern

Best IEM for a bass head?
Three words: Hisound Wooduo 2. If you don't believe me, ask ljokerl on his epic thread. I don't think anything under 200$ compares with them, bass-wise.- iern

Best bass orientated IEM's around $200-300
Why not try Hisound Audio Wooduo 2? Very deep and controlled bass, sweet mids and treble.I have them, as well as gr07, and they have oodles of bass more then gr. ljokerl loves them, too.- iern

Your Album of the Month
I fell in love when I heard the first chords of the first song: ..as one Rolling Stone reviewer put it: "what rock & roll would have sounded like had it been invented in the 1930s Dust Bowl." Absolutely gorgeous minimalistic album with guitar, banjo and vocals, disturbing and... -

"TANGERINE DREAM" Who are they? &; what influence have they had in Electronic music?
For me, Stratosfear is still my all time favorite from Tangerine Dream. Their early works are all pretty awesome, though...all the way to Pergamon (1980). After that, they went into soapy new agey stuff that I can+t be bothered to like. For those who like Pergamon, I also suggest Phaedra... -
Klipsch Image X10 for $94 (usually $350)!!
Definitely no sibilance with them-if anything, they can sound a bit veiled in treble, depending on tips used, of course. Very easy going and smooth, perfect for long listening sessions on planes etc...- iern

Review by 'iern' on item 'HiSoundAudio Wooduo 2'
I used to be sure that I am not a basshead. My favorite IEMs for the longest time were RE-0, my favorite headphones were (and still are) various variations of ATH "sweet treble" sound signature, and in general, my favorite music genres do not demand monster bass. All that being said, I am a...- iern

Please recommend some bands to Pink Floyd and The Doors lover
Icelandic band called Andrum - afaik, they have one album out ("Andvakar") and they sound to me exactly like Pink Floyd would if they ever went to Iceland instead of Pompeii. Another icelandic band - Sigur Ros. For starters try their Agaetis Byrjun. beyond awesome, and again, reminds me of... -
VSONIC VC02 Thread
Quote: ..since I also have X10, yes, VC02 can isolate almost as much. I say almost, because they sound like crap with triple flange (this is just me, can't say for other people in general). With normal tips (double flange and small normal single flange) they still isolate very well -...- iern

Budget Classical Music Headphone/IEM for 100$
I have both RE0 and RE-ZERO, and they are pretty good for/with classical and baroque music, but in the end, most of the time I end up using HiSound Wooduo 2. They have very sweet and pleasant treble, not too recessed mids, and absolutely wonderful bass extension - perfectly controlled and very...- iern

Apple EarPods Thread

Apple EarPods Thread
Quote: eh? I must admit that I don't understand you The idea of blind test is that tester doesn't know what piece of equipment he is testing. Since we are talking about SQ of earpods (ie, buds) vs IEMs, person who tests *always* knows that he is testing buds (ie, apple pods). So, no true...- iern

Looking For Some Starter IEM's? Any help is appreciated!
..for true bass experience I use HiSound Wooduo 2, which are very nice, once you get proper fit. They have amazingly huge amounts of precise deep bass and work great with dubstep and rock (never tried them for hip hop since I don't listen to that genre). Their mids are not too recessed and their...- iern

Apple EarPods Thread
..from my perspective, apple earpods are complete piece of c**p, simply because I can't get a good fit fit them. If they were given away for free, i wouldn't take them. Now, because I am a semi-grown up person, I don' mistake lousy fit with lousy sound quality, so I don't go around saying that...- iern

¿Beats Tour or Klipsch s4??
..you should also note that joker likes his iems trebly and sparkly :D kinda opposite of what the original poster presumably wants for his genres of choice. I had both Monoprices and S4, and S4 is IMO far better for rock, trance, psychedelic and hip hop. Monoprice is (IMO) better at...- iern
