Anyone here got IEM recommendations that sound similar to the FSP? Looking for the same sort of aggression, when i compare my m100 to my FSP the FSP is so much more forward, and i love that about them :) The m100's sound too distant in comparison to the FSP which sounds more direct imho ...- Aerathion

personally i use the vmoda cable, but that gives noise too. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fisual-S-Flex-Mini-1-5m-3-5mm-Cable/dp/B00B3VS9X0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1457273263&sr=8-1&keywords=s-flex this one should have less cable noise i think because of how soft the cable is.- Aerathion

Focal SPIRIT PROFESSIONAL Impressions thread
yeah i was thinking of taking a look at the HD600's. Thanks for your write up, looks like the msr7's arent for me. The focals arent ''uncomfortable'' for me, but i wouldnt say you forget they're there too. Thinking of selling my M100's for hd600's and keeping the focals anyways, they...- Aerathion

Focal SPIRIT PROFESSIONAL Impressions thread
anyone here have both the MSR7 and the pro's? Im thinking of selling my focals to get some AT's Is the msr7 a more comfortable version of the focal spirit? Would the msr7 be alot brighter than the focals? Can the msr7 use the VMODA cables? I currently own the focals and am looking...- Aerathion

Is a DAC necessary?
They color the sound (add distortion) to make it sound, in most cases, warmer. If i were you i'd get a solid state amp and choose the headset to change the sound- Aerathion

Is a DAC necessary?
for hard to drive headphones you will definately need an amp. A dac however, it depends, most motherboards have a great dac and most people wouldnt be able to differentiate between a 1000$ dac and onboard computer sound (source: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/high-end-pc-audio,3733.html)- Aerathion

Focal SPIRIT PROFESSIONAL Impressions thread
they are completely different. the focals are way more intimate with the ma 900 being in my opinion quite distant, it is ofcourse one of the most open headphones there is. That is probably the very reason why i couldnt stand the ma 900, the ma 900 is very relaxed and laid back as opposed...- Aerathion
