Yay, my pk1s are fixed. I was the one who ran over my pk1s with my car. I bent some of the plastic to align it as close as possible then used epoxy seal the cracks. Then I gave it a listen, and MAN do I miss the sound quality of these little suckas! I had to use the pk3s and akgk14p as back up...

pk1 was amazing amped, but I was really getting use to it unamped until I broke them. . right now, i'm using the akg k14p and it's not as satifisfying. argg, I want to go for another pair.

i have the e888lp that i got from audiocubes. I think they only sell the ones that say 'made in china'. Anyways, I also have the pk1s so here are some comparisons. - pk1s are more detailed, spacious. Because of this, you could hear the wrath of badly encoded audio files. e888 covers it up...

using a w800 with the mongoose, askd. Sounds pretty good imo. I be using it with the PK1 unamped for portability. The EQ in the player is good enough to make the sound fuller. how do the blackice and smellulater packs compare to the mongoose and askd's w810 acoustic combo? Edit: Actually...

they're not bad for the price. detailed they are, but why compare them to pk1? pk1 eats up lot of these buds for breakfast. anyways, I use to use them as a backup bud when I didn't like the bass and earclips of my ksc35.

wow...the pk1 are my new primary earbuds. ksc35 was before. the buds do work unamped, but detail is loss, but not so much that the sound is really ugly. still need to burn these suckers in.

for sound, if you like the ex71s, then you'll like the cx300s (<- highs doesn't hurt my head as much as the ex71s). Both have boomy bass and same isolation. the cord length may be a problem though. the cx300's cord is a tad short so when I put it in my right pocket, across my body, it tugs...
