Colorfly C3 Discussion Thread
Hi there Received the C3 last week and also added a SD card with some music. Sorting still is an issue..all song names are prefixed 01-xxx 02-yyy etc. Didn't work. So changed the time stamp on all files and folders to the same date and time. Still no luck. More suggestions?- hoppenma

iPod 6g 80GB - E17 combo- not satisfied - recommendations?
So the SE425 arrived last week. Used them for a week. Certainly at first not a big improvement. Still harsh/grainded sound on some recording. Little bass impact....was it the right choice? Doing some burnin over nights at the moment and listened to some recordings today. Started to look...- hoppenma

Quote: Thank you will remember to use as good as a DAP as I can or use better DAC;) But when I need to rule out the lesser iPod DAC I thought this could help. Remember though it should improve the portable rig with the SE215.- hoppenma

iPod 6g 80GB - E17 combo- not satisfied - recommendations?
Quote: Thxs for your opinion..but it's really hard to compare when there is no digital out on the iPod. Unless I go Fostex e.g. but that's is out of my budget. Also the K550 is reasonable as well with the iPod-E17 combo. When I ad the Shure S215 though it's getting worse. But true a...- hoppenma

Will dive some more into this. Like the idea about upgrading the IEM. On the shortlist now are: Shure SE425 (210-220 EUR) Westone 3umx (310 EUR via import, over here hard to get) Shure SE535 (325 EUR via import, 360 EUR NL) Maybe go for SE42 for now and upgrade LOD. LOD options...- hoppenma

iPod 6g 80GB - E17 combo- not satisfied - recommendations?
I mentioned the Leckerton earlier but because I've not digital out on the iPod a pure amp would be better not? Would a Alo RX MK2 be a better option in that case? Or is preparing for a future DAP with digatal out be better, so the Leckerton UHA-6S MKII would be best? At the moment...- hoppenma

Previously I also took interest in westone 3 would that be a viable option? Also reading al lot bout Heir headphones over here. Rsa, Leckerton also seems to get thumbs up in here as amp and or amp/dac combo. Some proper lod probably needed.- hoppenma

I did use flac files on both csuse the ipod is rockboxed. Normally of course the k550 are uswd at home. But for the comparison i usws them because the have a far richer experience. Will look at the 425 maybe. Replace the e17 wouldn't be better ?- hoppenma

Hi, Yesterday I did some listening on my new setup Rockboxed iPod Classic 6G with the Fiio E17 via Fiio LOD. Used the AKG K550 for the occasion while I normally listen using Shure SE215. Though not entirely bad sound missed some air, soundstage and was a bit dark. I plugged my...- hoppenma
