If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
Thank you Dave. The soft eartips are fine, but not necessarily the best ones. So, even the Grey Large eartips are not sourced anymore, to the best of your knowledge? I ask this because the grey ones are still being sold on the Etymotic site, and even on Amazon (including Amazon México). So if...- Oscarilbo

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
Thank you Dave! I think it may be indeed getting a bit pinched somehow, since its so soft for me. That would be enough to affect the sound a bit then? Didn't notice the the softer ones had a longer steam, that also may be a factor. I'm a bit worry the harder ones (both grey and clear) won't be...- Oscarilbo

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
Hi guys. Want to know what's been your experience with the official Etymotic eartips. I ask because in my case, I've found differences in sound from the three type of Large tips; Grey, hard clear material (these used to be the ones that came with the ER4XX line and some of the ER2XX), and soft...- Oscarilbo

Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread
Hi guys. I'm considering adding the HD 660s2 to my collection. I have the HD 600 and 6XX, the HD 560S, the AKG K701 and K712. If I buy the 660s2 I think I'd sell the K712. Has anyone compared both? I mean the 660s2 and the K712? My guess is the 660s2 obviously beats the K712 in every way. Can...- Oscarilbo

Meze 99 Classics Discussion + Impressions Thread
Sorry for the late response. Well, I've been storing them with the cable plugged in and all fine. Its not forced in there or anything, the zipper strip can be stretched just enough to cover the jacks area at the edge while them being loose. Also I contacted Meze and they say is perfectly safe...- Oscarilbo

Meze 99 Classics Discussion + Impressions Thread
Guys, looking for some advice. Do you unplug the cable of your Meze 99 before putting it on its case? Do you think its made so it can also be stored with the cable plugged in? I assumed there was no other way, but I just closed the zippers with the cable plugged to it, just rolled up in the...- Oscarilbo

Guys. From your experience, which of the Etymotic official eartips are the best for you and why? There seems to be three types that comes with the earphones: The small frosted ones, the clear Large and the even clearer (translucent) and super softer (both Large and Small). Also there are the...- Oscarilbo

Thank you for your detailed replay. I have the HD600 and HD6XX, and love them but yeah, I also want a fun closed back headphone with lots but quality bass, and relatively relaxed overall. My gear is Schit Modi 3+ and Schiit Magni Heresy.- Oscarilbo

Meze 99 Classics Discussion + Impressions Thread
Is it really the Meze 99 have a very relaxed sound signature? I want that (relaxed listening) as opposed to my very neutralish headphone collection as an alternative. I’ve listened to some reviews that say it has somewhat high peaks in treble and very V-shape. Some say is not that at all and...- Oscarilbo

Meze 99 Classics Discussion + Impressions Thread
Hey guys. A question: Is it real Meze did some minor technical revisions on the 99 Classics that affected bass performance a little bit, arguably for the better? If so, would I get this version if I order it from Amazon next black friday???- Oscarilbo

New Beyerdynamic Pro X line: DT 700 Pro X and DT 900 Pro X
Yeah. No I did not tried that since I know the 700 have a very good record con QC, so I know it was probably a bad batch or something. Since then Amazon USA has not sell the D700 directly, just by third parties. But I got unpatient and tried the K553 and loved it. The MSR7B are great, but they...- Oscarilbo

New Beyerdynamic Pro X line: DT 700 Pro X and DT 900 Pro X
totally did. Made me sell my MSR7B. The DT 700 pro X sound a lot more natural and organic. Sadly my experience with Beyer wasn't ultimately very good since two DT700 came with flaws (rattle and crackle on the subass notes) and I ended up settling with the AKG K553 Pro which sound also much more...- Oscarilbo
