I would wait until September to see what the new walkman models are like.  It is only a month away and the f880 series kinda has bad battery life any ways.  You can also check on this forum too since people are always selling these things as well.    

Hi everyone, last year when I was in Japan I opted for the f886 instead of the zx1.  I am just curious has anyone tried the docking cradle that got released a little while back with the f886?  Do stores over there accept foreign credit cards if I walk in to buy something?  I know they don't like...

I think you made a good decision here, I am so troubled with this one though, I would like to replace my F886, and I could buy a zx2 right now with some recently acquired funds or wait for my japan trip in august.  Damn lol.

Sorry you had to go through that Spatzi, this is why I cancelled my order initially.  I was probably going to get one in the same batch as you and I am sure they would have had simillar issues.  I am very curious if the new batches have this issue resolved.  I was also hoping to look at one at...

I contacted them about the new hi res cradle thing and they took two weeks to answer my question, essentially no they aren't getting it for Canada at least.  I wonder if this is why the zx1 wont do that new update?  Either way how are people enjoying this new device?  God I am so tempted but...

Anybody else order from sony.ca ?  I wonder if sony.ca got a batch with bad batteries.  I think I'm gonna hold off on this one until Japan later this year.

Congrats to the new owners of the ZX2, could any of you people let us know about the battery life on this device?  I am so close to pulling the trigger and so far all of my boxes are ticked except for one: the battery.  If it is like my f886 then I cant do it lol.

Well congratulations on your new purchase!  Man, I keep going back and forward with this do I get it or do I wait until my trip in July?  When you do get it could you let us know how it sounds?  I might just sell some of my other walkmen like my F886 and my a17 and some other stuff and just dump...

This is way too tempting for me, but I think I will wait for opinions on this thing. It will still be there in Japanese stores in July I am sure.

did you try plugging it in to Media Go and see if it prompts you for the update there?

Ditto for Yodobashi Camera.  I will be heading back to Tokyo in June/July, and I will make a special trip just to that store.  You can spend all week in that place.  I am weighing either buying a headphone amp or the zx2.  Decisions, decisions lol!  Since they are closing all of the Sony stores...

Amen to all the accessories.  This is why you have to visit Japan, you can find anything there.  I was blown away by all the stuff I found there especially seeing not just the walkmen on the shelves but the accessories as well.  Pretty awesome.
