Looking for a pair of cans around $600-700
Do you feel the Schiit Magni 2 Uber will be sufficient to power such a headphone? I believe I am indeed going to be purchasing the HE-560- pro1137

Looking for a pair of cans around $600-700
Is the soundstage bad on the HE-560? I much value soundstage. It's the main reason I initially got the DT770, but after I recently listened to a pair of ATH-w1000x, I fell in love with its thick midrange. Even its soundstage impressed me. The overall signature isn't me, but the midrange is. If...- pro1137

Looking for a pair of cans around $600-700
You are quite making me consider the T1. I am indeed a fan of treble. One of my biggest complaints about my DT770 is that its lower treble is a bit dull for my liking. Looking at the T1's frequency chart, I can say that it appears the T1 fixes this issue. Sadly, headphone auditions are not...- pro1137

Looking for a pair of cans around $600-700
Hm.. that's certainly a possibility, but I've heard a good few things about the T1 that I'm not sure I would find desirable (build, treble heavy, thin midrange) however I am unsure as to how true all of the claims are. What about the Audeze EL-8 Open back? A friend of mine mentioned this...- pro1137

Looking for a pair of cans around $600-700
I do indeed have one already, but it's not very powerful, and I have intentions to purchase an upgrade upon needing one. At the minimum, I plan to buy a Schiit Magni 2 with whatever headphone I end up purchasing. My current Amp/DAC is a FiiO E07k.- pro1137

Looking for a pair of cans around $600-700
Hey all. I'm currently in the market for a pair of headphones for around $600-700 I've not really paid that much attention to the headphone scene since I got my DT770 Pro. My initial thought was to look into the HE-500, however those are off the market as of now. I primarily listen to...- pro1137

Review by 'pro1137' on item 'V-MODA XS '
The XS is the direct successor to V-Moda's famed Crossfade M80. This successor stays true to the root of the word, and is a massive success of both a headphone and a product. The build quality of the XS is beyond almost every other portable headphone that I've used, except for other...- pro1137

Review by 'pro1137' on item 'V-MODA Crossfade M-80'
The M80 is a famed headphone for being exceptionally good despite its very small stature. Well, it's true. The M80 follows V-Moda's classic styling, but smaller. V-Moda has a reputation for building extremely durable on-ear and over-ear headphones that utilize a variety of...- pro1137

YOUR IDEAL HEADPHONE: What is yours if you could take one and tailor it to you?
I can agree with some that many mid-fi cans can best high end cans in some way or another. My experience would be with the ATH-W1000X. They sound amazing, but not $600 amazing. Maybe $400 amazing, yes, but I prefer my DT770 and Phiaton Bridge MS500 for just about everything over the W1000X. It...- pro1137

I lost my M50s...
The M30 was the headphone that got me into this stuff. It's a great example of value. I actually think it could be better than the M50 for general listening.- pro1137

YOUR IDEAL HEADPHONE: What is yours if you could take one and tailor it to you?
Basically, in a sonic sense, I've found my perfect headphone. It's the Phiaton Bridge MS500. The only changes I would make to it are the plating on the cables (currently silver. While they match the style, i worry about connectivity issues for the future), and the screws that hold the headphone...- pro1137

Headphone Sightings 2
I saw someone wearing an M50 a few days ago. I've seen him around before, and I know he's friends with one of my friends, so I said nice headphones to him, but he looked at me like I was some sort of creep. Recently also saw an HD598 in my school, which is unheard of, since no one gets...- pro1137

VMODA good?
Are you kidding? I dislike the M100 because I think it has too much bass. The Crusher is somewhat warm with punchy bass. I never use the "subwoofer" option because then it sounds trashy. If you mean the ORIGINAL skullcrushers, those are awful no matter what you set it on. The new crusher is...- pro1137
