What a lot of people including myself has been to use Neutrik Right Angle Jacks and not use the sleeve. You glue together the two halves. http://www.redco.com/Neutrik-NTP3RC-B.html

That is one gorgeous connector! I would probably recommend trying their new 3.5GT1   http://www.norneaudio.com/litzheim/Norne-Audio-Beyerdynamic-T1-Gen-2-Eidolic-3-5mm-diy-connector   Seems like that has the longest shank. ;)

I recommended this to someone who has the M-80 and they said it worked. Don't know about the M-100.    http://www.redco.com/Amphenol-KS3PC-Extended-Collar.html   You might want to give them a try?

OH man that looks great. Is the new jack much shinier than the older ones? And also, how was working with the Pistons? Did you crack them open and solder directly onto the driver or did you just cut the cable and solder wire to wire?

    ATH-M50 Removable Cable Mod

Yeah you definitely can't pull the out if its any decent length of a cable. You're going to want to take a knife and run it down the length of the cable just deep enough to cut the rubber.

    ATH-M50 Removable Cable Mod

Put the old cable aside and pick up some Mogami, take the sleeving off and put that through the paracord. If you are planning to put all 4 strands in one sleeve then you're looking for 550 paracord. You're also going to need some connectors for the two ends. I suggest Aphenol.  ...

    Beyerdynamic DT990 replacement drivers

They just replied to the email I sent to their support.    Their price for the drivers are: Part Number: 952283 – DT990 250 Ohm Driver - $56.28 each, plus $15.00 standard UPS shipping and handling.   If I get only one driver will there be a difference in sound? My pair is well over 10...

    Beyerdynamic DT990 removeable cable mod

yeah, this is a bit of a pickle..    How much would a pair of broken 770's or 880's run me? I don't see a pair anywhere on ebay but maybe i'm not looking correctly..   Which phones have the same drivers as the 990's 250 ohm? I would need one which is also 250 ohm right?

    Beyerdynamic DT990 removeable cable mod

Man whoever said that beyerdynamics were not mid friendly was not kidding.. I guess I put too much heat on the ground pin on the driver and it came right out.. I put it back in physically but it seems im not getting signal.. Do I have a dead driver?

    Beyerdynamic DT990 removeable cable mod

So im attempting to do a removeable cable mod on my dt990. I'm trying to put a mini-xlr jack. I've already widened the hole to the point where the jack will fit.. however.. the driver does not fit in flush as it used to... What is the best way to solve this? I don't think the hole can be made so...

Hey all,   I was looking to recable a gaming headset whose cable splits into 2 3pole 3mm plugs. I peeked inside the cups (single entry) and saw that there were 5 connects. I'm guessing there are mic +/- and then drivers L/R with a shared ground? There's also a mute and a volume rocker on the...

I think you're going to have a very hard time fitting those conductors in a single 550 paracord.. might want to look around the gallery to see if anyone has ever done it before.   What I would suggest is: A. use 650 Paracord (http://paracordgalaxy.com/mobile.php?main_page=index&cPath=176_177)...

Does anybody have any comparisons between 2799 and 2893 Mogami Cable? Markertek lists them both as having the same conductors in them. Mogami 2799 is cheaper on Redco and i'm planning on ordering a lot of cable but I usually like 2893 because I like how much the conductors are very easy to...

I know that 550 paracord is nice for sleeving whole cables and that 325 paracord is nice for sleeving wires but has anybody ever tried using 425 paracord? It seems more standard than 325 paracord almost.  http://www.paracordplanet.com/425-Paracord-3-Strand-100-ft_p_1366.html   I imagine...

Hey guys,   The audio jacks on my computer case are starting to become loose or something. The sound disconnects if the plug shifts a little and its not the plug/cable's fault.
